McCall & Long Valley

Resting on the southern shore of the beautiful Payette Lake, McCall is a premier outdoor playground and idyllic mountain getaway. Situated in the heart of Long Valley in central Idaho, this is a true nature lover’s paradise where year-round recreation is part of daily life. McCall and its surrounding towns offer a true high-altitude escape where one is met with friendly hellos, and a genuine sense of community.

The incomparable views, lakes, and mountains in Long Valley have attracted people to this breathtaking landscape for centuries. Early Nez-Perce and Shoshone tribes frequented the valley to hunt and fish in preparation for winter, while 19th century Pacific Northwest fur-trappers and homesteaders left their mark on the area.

Today, the serene environment of McCall and Long Valley effortlessly blends outdoor adventure with the area’s history and small-town warmth. From the shores of Payette Lake to nearby Lake Cascade, and from the friendly streets of Donnelly to the slopes of Tamarack Resort and Brundage Mountain, there is something for everyone.

Spend summer days boating, paddle boarding, fishing, hiking, or soaking in nearby natural hot springs. Winter brings world-class skiing, snowboarding, and Nordic trails, along with cozy evenings by the fire.

Casago Franchise Owner

Alex and Susan Pedigo were drawn to Idaho through their love for the outdoors. No strangers to elevation, they spent two decades living at 10,000 feet in the mountains of Colorado before working their way to “the gem state.”

As avid skiers, hikers, and whitewater rafters, some of their favorite days are spent floating the Payette River or exploring the trails and lakes that make Long Valley so special. Embraced by the warmth of small-town life, Casago Long Valley grew out of a longing to continue to foster these connections.

Vacation rental guests to Long Valley benefit from shared insider knowledge; from the team’s favorite places to eat, to the best spots to explore.
