Whitefish is a charming mountain town nestled on the west edge of Glacier National Park, in the foothills of Montana’s Rocky Mountains. Dubbed one of the coolest small towns in America, Whitefish is a classic mountain destination with a touch of the old wild west, a quaint downtown for shopping and dining, spectacular scenery, and wide-open spaces for four seasons of epic adventures.

Whitefish, MT is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts and travelers for a relaxed pace for slow travel. The snowy season brings epic adventures at Whitefish Mountain Resort with legendary ski slopes, terrain parks, night skiing, junior snow ranger programs for the kids, and affordable lift tickets (under $100!).

As the snow melts, the wildflowers start to bloom, the sun warms the vast Montana skies, and the scene is set for a summer of family fun. The lifts at Whitefish Mountain Resort are open for scenic summer lift rides, lift-served mountain biking and hiking trails, thrilling rides on alpine slides and Montana’s longest zipline, and mountain top dining with panoramic views of Glacier National Park.

More unique experiences await off the mountain with summer huckleberry picking, float plane rides over the Glacier backcountry, water activities on Whitefish Lake, alpine golf courses, and scenic drives on Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park (one of the Top 10 National Park experiences in the US). It’s the wild Rocky Mountains so be bear aware and stay alert in the mountains – other wildlife such as mountain lions, moose and elk also call Whitefish, MT home. Casago: What attracted you to the vacation rental industry?

We all love to travel and often stay in vacation rentals. We’ve seen it all from unique, clean, and spectacular units to unkept units with poor customer service and bad communication. The market in Montana, specifically Whitefish, has been steadily growing but shifted drastically after COVID-19 hit in 2020. There was a sudden need for dependable vacation rental managers. We knew we were the team to provide unmet service.

Casago: Why did you decide to join forces with Casago?

Over the last few years, Stuart has spent time on the road with Matt Landau studying the vacation rental industry and producing shows like The Vacation Rental Show and The Unlocked Podcast. After filming the second episode of Homerunners, which features Casago, Stuart realized there’s something very special about the Casago business model. At the time, we had been spending significant time together in Whitefish and we were all convinced of the fantastic vacation rental market. Stuart shared what he learned while getting a look deep behind the scenes of Casago; we were confident Casago was the missing piece.

After Stuart raved about Casago, we continued to learn more about Casago’s supportive business structure and team culture, the more we learned about the proprietary software solutions and international expanse, we knew Casago would be the perfect partnership to help launch and develop our beautifully sought after market.

Casago: Tell us a little about your involvement in your community.

We play an active role in the community and have personally been in service through food banks, community clean-ups, and volunteering with Chamber of Commerce events and advocating for homeowners. As a new business though, we look forward to being involved with the community to help keep it a safe, clean and fun destination for our families and our future guests.

Casago: Do you have a quote that inspires you?

“Quality is the best business plan,” John Lasseter
