The best time to visit Frisco depends on your interests. Winter offers prime skiing from December through March. Summer brings ideal weather for hiking and boating on Dillon Reservoir between June and August.

Most travelers fly into Denver International Airport and drive 70 miles west on Interstate 70. Airport shuttles, private mountain transfers, and rental cars provide easy transportation directly into town.

Because Frisco is just over an hour west of Denver via Interstate 70, it serves as a highly accessible destination. The majority of visitors travel from the Denver metropolitan area, the Front Range, or fly from major domestic hubs into DEN.


There are six world-class ski resorts located within a 30-minute drive of Frisco.

Dillon Reservoir offers excellent summer recreation. Visitors rent kayaks, paddleboards, and pontoons from the Frisco Bay Marina. Fishing is also highly popular, with anglers catching brown trout throughout the warmer months.
