The area in and around the home was not nice. There were non stop helicopters due to the proximity to the Naval base. Also, found a roach on kitchen counter.

After calling multiple hotels we were very fortunate to find that this property was vacant. Turned out to be very lovely. Great location. Close to a multitude of restaurants and Publix.

This is a nice little property tucked away in a small, quiet community close to Jacksonville. The prized amenity of this property is the fantastic pool with screened in pool deck. Lounging in the water, watching lizards scamper about is very therapeutic. The home is well appointed with all the household amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Even the propane grill outside is clean and ready for outdoor cooking when you arrive. This property is located a stones throw from Mayport Naval Station so you have operational flights from military aircraft, helicopters and the occasional plane, throughout the weekdays. The weekends are usually more quiet. This "sound of freedom" is not off-putting and can be mitigated with a white noise machine should you want to take a midday nap. There is a small convenience store, seafood market and two seafood restaurants within walking distance from this property. We have rented this home twice now for our routine visits to Jacksonville and will continue to consider it for future trips. It is outside of the city but close enough to be convenient.
