Casago and Vacasa completed their merger on May 1, 2025, and will now operate as a combined company. We could not be more excited to join two prominent leaders in the vacation rental industry to bring unmatched local property management services to vacation rental owners in the U.S. and beyond.

Your property will continue to be operated by the local team that you’ve come to know from Vacasa, as we believe that they are one of the most valuable resources in this merger. As we look to find local franchise owners, we will ensure that you continue to receive the same great service you have always received. Your property will be managed seamlessly during and after the transition and no action is needed on your behalf at this time.

Your management agreement with Vacasa will not change as a result of the closing of the merger with Casago.

The closing of the merger with Casago will have no impact on any reservations currently on your calendar.

Nothing will change as a result of the merger with Casago closing. We expect your local and Regional Owner Success contacts to remain unchanged.

We plan on retaining all operational team members.

The combined company is committed to providing the same high standards of service across all of its locations, and to making improvements where we see opportunities to do so.

While there are no restrictions required by the combined company, it is important to understand that personal use of the property during peak times may impact your annual revenue. It’s important to try to manage your personal stays in accordance with your income goals of the property.

All owner payouts and financial reporting will continue seamlessly for our homeowners. The schedule for homeowner reports, statements, and 1099 reporting will remain unchanged.

Please continue to contact your local management team or your Regional Owner Success team with questions. Contact information can be found in your Owner Portal.

Your home will continue to be listed with all of the OTAs (Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com) on which it is currently listed, as well as on Vacasa.com. As we integrate the operations, we intend to list Vacasa homes on Casago.com as well.

It's important to know that Vacasa.com, which historically drives ⅓ of the traffic, will continue to operate unobstructed to continue generating a significant benefit to our homeowners.

Casago believes that revenue management is a team sport. We train our local teams from the ground up to be familiar with revenue management in order to provide feedback to our revenue managers. We also believe that the homeowner is part of this team and must be able to provide feedback and have conversations on strategy and pricing as it relates to the overarching industry and market trends to achieve the homeowner’s revenue goals on their property.

As part of the integration of the two businesses, Casago and Vacasa will work toward developing the best-in-class revenue management platform for homeowners and generate strategies that align with a homeowner’s goals for their properties.

Yes, Guestworks will still be offered by Vacasa. In the case that a Vacasa market is sold to a Casago franchise, Guestworks owners will not fold into the franchise and may still continue as a Guestworks owner.
