Love the west end of SGI
We really enjoyed our long weekend at Sunset Revival. It had everything that we needed to make it fun and comfortable for our small family and pup. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of supplies available for cooking and cleaning. The view from the house is stunning - especially at sunset. I would definitely stay here again. Also, Vacasa was quick to respond to the one minor issue that we had.
We stayed in this home for one night on our cross-country drive from Colorado to our final end point in the Florida Keys. The home is located on St George Island in a lush quiet neighborhood right across the street from the water where it looks like you can launch kayaks. It is on the Apalachicola Bay side - not the gulf/beach side. However, the beach is very close and is probably only a 10 minute walk (about a 2-3 minute car ride). There were kayaks at the house available for us to use but we arrived too late in the evening to use them. The house is a brand new build and is stunning! It has been decorated very well with an ocean feel and has 3 bedrooms - with one being a bunk room. (Very smart and thoughtful of the owners to put bunks in a bedroom for kids. I wish all vacation owners had that foresight). The counters/cabinets/finishings/furniture were all high quality and very nice. We explored the beach just down the road from the house and watched the sunrise and did a little shelling. We also visited the St George Island State Park on the other side of the island which was beautiful as well. We wish that we could have stayed for a few more days so that we could have explored St. George Island more and the surrounding small communities along Florida's forgotten coast. If we have the opportunity to come to this area again, we will stay here! St. George Island was definitely our favorite!
The house is great, the views are the best and we saw so much wildlife! Loved it!!!
House is relatively new and was clean, but we were expecting a bit more from a newer home. pros: clean amazing sunset sleeps 6 comfortably despite cheap build materials, the quality of build is good Cons: Kitchen - poor design, no prep area, no place to store food, very cheap materials for kitchen cabinets deck - no shade, you sit next to the noisy AC unit living space only big enough for 4 people to watch a movie Listing advertising a public kayak launch area, but its a environmental project where kayak launching is prohibited
Awesome home! Very clean. Had everything we needed! Breathtaking sunset!
