The house is so close to the beach
Views, proximity to beach.
Sea Glass is a beautiful home that was perfect for our group. The views from the home are exquisite! Everything was wonderful! It is a bit of a drive from the restaurants, shops and grocery, but otherwise, it was fabulous!
We enjoyed the beach and the house. Porch facing the beach is wonderful. Needs some investment in a new ice maker. This is an 2 yr old complaint. And frig Shelving repairs. It’s a shame when owners do not keep up a house. Large bedrooms are nice.
Great location.
I am very upset about the house. There were multiple issues. The listing said the house had a refrigerator and a separate ice machine. Neither one of the ice machines worked. And it was obvious that they had not worked for awhile. I called VACASA about them on Sunday. I had no response. I called again on Mon or Tues. I was told by the repair person that he would be glad to come but they had tried to repair it in the past and it was not able to be repaired. He stated that the owner was aware it was not working and was not willing to replace it. So, the owner knowingly rented the house in 90 degree temperatures on the beach with no ice machine. Also, the dishwasher only worked about 30% of the time. When we arrived, the refrigerator was set on 50 degrees and the drink frig was basically hot. It took over 24 hours to get it to cool appropriately. The doors in the master bedroom going out onto the deck where almost impossible to open. The toilet in one of the bedrooms was impossible to use due to construction of the shower next to it. You had to turn sideways to get in. I had originally rented a different house but was contacted 1 month in advance that it would not be ready. I was given 3 choices. This house had one less bedroom but I tried to manage anyway. If I had known how horrible the appliances were then I would not have rented it. I want financial reimbursement of some type for the lack of an ice machine. we had to go to town sometimes twice a day just to get ice. Absolutely ridiculous that the owner would rent something at this price that does not have working appliances. The kitchen is way too small for the amount of people that can sleep in house. Also, the refrigerator- while tall- was not deep and could not hold all of the food we brought. Master bathtub jets were broken. We have been staying on the island for several years and I have never stayed in a house this terrible.
