1 Tiny Turtle is cute, contemporary, cozy, and quite comfortable.
We liked the proximity to the beach and the simplicity. Overall, it is best placed in the “okay” category. It has some quirks, but overall it worked.
Loved this place went down for the weekend and loved the proximity to the beach as well as eateries. Will stay again.
My husband and I booked a weekend stay here and it was the perfect little spot! It is super close to the public beach access which makes beach days easy! It’s also very close to all of the restaurants and stores at the entrance of the island. Just keep in mind there is another Vacasa rental located above this one! We had a family with young kids staying above us and you can hear every move they make up there, which didn’t bother us much as we weren’t there other than to change or sleep. We will definitely be keeping this place in mind whenever we come back!
The rental was firmly in the “meh” category. Check-in is at 4 p.m., and we were offered early check-in at noon, which we didn’t take because of travel. We arrived close to midnight—and even that late, the unit was unbearable. The stench of cigarette smoke hit us immediately, poorly masked by three Glade plug-ins and two air purifiers running full blast. We just got home this afternoon, and when I put on my CPAP mask for bed, the smell hit me again. The residue got into everything. If we’d arrived earlier, it would’ve been even worse. While cleaning did what they could, management needs to allow more time between guests for deep cleaning in case that needs to happen. In our situation it comes across they rush their reservations back to back and just make do. The bathroom includes one towel, one washcloth, and one hand towel per person. That’s it—no extras, no washer on-site, and no laundromat on the island, only on the mainland. Consider that when packing towels and clothing. The fridge is larger than a mini fridge but smaller than a “Euro fridge.” There are plenty of plates, bowls, and glasses, but we needed tools from our travel kitchen tote, like a baking sheet. There’s no dishwasher, so be prepared to hand-wash everything. The listing says there’s an iron, which is true—but no ironing board. When we turned on the stove vent, packing peanuts flew everywhere. The unit appears to be a hastily converted carport. That said, the space was clean and bug-free, and the furniture and bed were in good condition.
The location was good. WiFi didn’t work, tv didn’t work , no customer service. Won’t come back, which stinks because I love the location
