Flanagan's On Main

Flanagan's On Main is an Irish Pub and Restaurant in downtown Park City. It’s a favorite pub of the locals and on any given night, you’ll be welcomed into the “Flanagan’s family.” The interior of the pub and restaurant was hand-crafted to resemble an Irish pub. The only thing different is that it’s in an American ski town!

The backstory of Flanagan’s on Main is quite interesting. The current owner, John Kenworthy, is the grandson of Charles Kenworthy. He started an orphanage for wayward boys sponsored by a compassionate Catholic priest, Father Flanagan. Hollywood transformed the story into a 1938 movie, Boys Town. The heartfelt tale left a mark on John Kenworthy who is proud to own the pub named after Father Flanagan. There’s even a big story about the story of Flanagan’s on Main and its history in an issue of The Park Record, the local newspaper.

Its central location in the Park City Main Street Historic District means you can plan shopping, art gallery hops, and your nightlife around a meal. It also is the perfect go-to after a ride with Snowed Inn Sleigh Company. All of this adds up to why Flanagan's on Main should be on your vacation to-do list.

Flanagan’s on Main is in the heart of Park City, in a two-story brick building with a faux balcony. The front facade resembles a shop found in the countryside of Ireland. Inside is a cozy tavern with low ceilings, wooden plank flooring, and old-world decor rivaling any Irish pub.

Adding to the allure is the live music and karaoke nights. With the Guinness flowing and the crowd belting songs, you; 'll be hard-pressed to find a more enjoyable night out. At the back of the pub are darts and a stone fireplace. When the snow is falling, it's the perfect spot to relax and gather with friends.

Flanagan's On Main: Menu & Drinks 

One thing is certain at Flanagan's: it's the place to go when you have a ravenous appetite! Even the appetizers are generous and could serve as a meal for some. An example is the Reuben Rolls full of corned beef, Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut with homemade thousand island sauce for dipping.

Another go-to is the hot wings! Chefs grill them to a golden brown and toss them in either Flanagan’s house sauce, BBQ sauce, hot sauce, or 911 sauce. The hot sauce version is similar to the traditional Buffalo sauce. To do things the Irish way, order up the Potato Jackets. The crispy skins have cheddar, sour cream, bacon and chives. You can even add chicken for additional protein.

When it comes to soups, the potato leek is a perfect pick, while the vegan chili is a gluten-free alternative to Flanagan’s famous in-house version.

For the main course, choose from various classics like Shepherd’s Pie, Irish Beef Stew, Fish & Chips, and Corned Beef & Cabbage. One bite will transport you across the Pond to Ireland!  Every entree comes with mashed potatoes, sweet potato fries, garlic cheese toast, cheese fries,  or salad.

The bar serves draught Guinness the Irish way: in an Imperial 20-ounce glass. You’ll find all your favorite European beers, including Carlsberg and even a special Flanagan’s Irish Amber on tap. The full bar has Jameson whiskey, Bushmills, Bushmills Black Bush, Middelton Rare, and much more.
