Fire pit, party lights, well equipped kitchen, plenty of towels, everything was perfect!!
The home was beautiful! Hot tub was a great plus to have! Fire pit with really nice and so close to the house. The room above the garage was amazing, since part of our family had to small children, and it was nice and quiet out there. You can’t see from the pictures, but there is a door at the top of the stairs that made it pretty sound proof. Dish ware, silverware, cups/glasses were plentiful, and they had quite a few children’s tableware. Plenty of games and kid’s toys! The back porch was incredible! Fenced in for the kid’s safety, so they loved being out there! The only downside I would say, would be that the backyard is very small as is the dock, and the trek down to the dock is very steep and pretty long.
The lake view was absolutely beautiful, and we really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and fishing off the dock. The home had a lot of potential, though a few details could be improved , there was some pet hair on the couches and the outside rug. It also would’ve been helpful to know in advance that lake towels weren’t provided for the lake house. I’d also look into providing enough trash bags, laundry soap and dishwasher tabs for the stay. Minimum one per day for the length of the stay. Overall, we appreciated the peaceful setting and lovely view, but a few small touches would make the experience even better.
Nice house with wonderful view of the lake. Enjoyed the deck and having fires at night.
Great location on Lake Anna. Very nice, updated, comfortable house.
The house on the public side was perfect for the 4 adults for the weekend. The 2 bedrooms with king and queen beds were comfortable. The deck and screened in porch are very nice with great views. We used the boat slip for our boat and location was easy access. There was a locked gate for the boat ramp access with the code for entry and easy access; however, the notes/ house rules on location read to not use the ramp for unloading and loading the boat and to use a different boat ramp at a public boat ramp. Talking to neighbors they advised there is drop off at the end of the ramp and if the wheels on your trailer go over it then it’s difficult to get out of the water and back on the ramp. So that’s why you can’t use the ramp for loading and unloading your boat. We enjoyed our stay and would return to this property on another vacation. We did not cook in the kitchen but noticed the pots and skillets had scorched bottoms and black on the pans which may indicate there is a problem on the stove burners with over heating- not sure.
