The home and location was perfect. The house was filthy upon arrival, literally I had to clean it myself just to make it livable. I let Vacasa know and they didn’t seem to care. I noticed one of the main burners on the stove didn’t work but I was able to cook without it during the week. Then on our last day, they came without our permissIon and whatever they did to “fix” the stove completely broke it—no burners worked and the oven wouldn’t turn on. Not only did Vacasa not warn me that this had happened, when I came home to make dinner for my kids and realized I couldn’t, they were unresponsive. I couldn’t cook meals the last 24 hrs we were there and with kiddos, that is really tough. The house was great, furniture comfy, and wonderful location on the lake. I blame everything that went wrong with our stay on Vacasa. Horrible customer service and whomever is cleaning/repairing the home should be fired.
This is our 3rd stay and we completely enjoyed our time at the lake. We will be back next summer.
Just like the title says, this cabin is beautiful and everything we were hoping for to spend a week on the lake with our family! However, we ran into several issues including only 2 of the 5 stovetop burners working properly, spider webs and bugs covering the front entry, prior to arrival we were told the paddle boards and kayaks were NOT included only to show up and find out that they actually ARE included, and there were 2 very large (the size of a football) yellow jacket nests hanging from under the bridge to the dock. None of these issues were deal breakers for us because I figured they could all be addressed by reaching out to Vacasa and they'd have a solution. Unfortunately, all I received was the generic "thank you for your comment, is there anything else I can assist you with" responses. I practically had to beg Vacasa to do something about these issues and ultimately, none of the issues were ever resolved during our stay. My oldest daughter's friend was stung 3 times from the swarm of yellow jackets and since we have a 1yr old, we weren't comfortable taking her to the dock because we didn't want to risk her being stung. We brought our boat so this made things much more complicated than they should have been in order for us to enjoy the water. Lastly, I see previous reviews addressing some of the same issues back in June (the stovetop) and it's incredibly frustrating that over 1 month later the issue has still not been fixed. So in conclusion if a management company who actually cared was taking care of this property, we'd love to stay here again. But since Vacasa has shown their lack of care, there's no way I could book this again and feel confident in Vacasa if something were to happen which is sad.
Beautiful lake house, very well stocked and very clean!
We stayed 7 nights and it was a beautiful property. We loved it had its own private dock and paddleboards to use (although 1 oar was missing so we used one from the kayaks) There are 2 areas which the owners could fix to make it the truly the BEST !!! Housekeeping- Upon arrival it looked clean. Meaning it was surfaced cleaned but not CLEAN. Examples- the clear light fixtures especially in the master and bathrooms were super dusty and covered with cobwebs. The ceiling fan in the master we didn't turn on because of the thick layer of caked on dust on the blades. We moved the coffee table in the living room to spread out on the floor for a movie and there was a bunch of popcorn and garbage underneath the table. On the oven only some of the burners worked. When we turned the stove on to cook fries for dinner it produced a really strong chemical smell and filled the kitchen with smoke when we opened the door. Since we didn't want to eat anything that smelled like chemicals we could not use the oven. Things we could not cook on the bbq went in the garbage. I would recommend investing in a fire extinguisher for the kitchen just in case. Vacasa- was good about sending the door code email before we got there but that was about it. The power went out one of the days we were there. My husband checked the breaker box and meter and determined that all the houses in that area were out of power. When I contacted Vacasa to let them know and ask if they could provide any info they did not respond via the text thread they told me to use if I needed anything. So I called got a answering service she said she would find out and call me back. No one ever called me. An hour later they responded to the text saying they would ask their local contact and get back to me. 2 hours later I contacted them again. NO response. I ended up walking to a neighbors house to ask them if they had any info. The next morning I texted them again NO response. In fact I did not hear from them again until they texted me on the SAME text to make sure I was out by 10 am. I loved that the internet service they had was very good! However, when the power went out so does the wifi and cell service is spotty. I realize Vascasa is not at fault for the power outage, its the mountains it will happen but the LACK of communication they could greatly improve on. Perhaps the owners could look into a generator for situations like that. Other than that my teens had a wonderful time paddleboarding and fishing off the dock. We did purchase a couple fishing poles and left them there for the next family to use ♥ We enjoyed all the baby geese coming through each morning and the bald eagle. We also like that it was tucked away in a private cove so most days the water wasn't choppy from the boats. If you do stay, go into Harrison and the taco truck there is sooo good! Also the local ice cream shop we enjoyed! Overall we had a great time but if those 2 areas were improved it would of been even better.
This home was beautiful and immaculate! The cove was quiet and serene. Excellent place to swim or just relax on the deck and enjoy a bbq and watch the boats go by. Very well equipped. Highly recommend this property.
