Mermaid Manor Built in 1884 and thoughtfully remodeled in 2016, this historical Fort Bragg home perfectly blends the comforts of modern life with the Victorian charm of the old Northern California Coast. This home is located on the iconic California Highway 1, directly adjacent to MacKerricher State Park and a three-minute walk from the ocean beach.

This beautiful landmark home sits mere steps from the beach at MacKerricher State Park, offering four lovely bedrooms (including two main bedroom suites), and an additional bedroom located in the detached studio with a tub/shower combo an expansive deck with a private gas grill, Smart TVs in each room, and a renovated kitchen with custom cabinetry reclaimed from the redwood that adorned the original house. Things to know: The 5th bedroom is located in the studio which is detached from the main home, behind the main home. Free WiFi, Full kitchen (with a dishwasher, stainless steel appliances, custom cabinets, and a Keurig), and Netflix streaming available (guests must use their own accounts). The main floor of the house has wide hallways and can accommodate a wheelchair and the main bedroom's bathroom has a roll-in shower with grab bars.

Beautiful home that provided a quiet getaway for my family and I. Close enough to beaches and downtown but also provides privacy and silence when needed. Overall the home was fantastic. I would highly recommend.

Our two young granddaughters absolutely loved the mermaid themed home. We really enjoyed the large comfy couch in the living room. Also enjoyed our nightly visit to the fire pit for s’mores in the private and lovely back yard. Kitchen was well equipped and appreciated the designated bar area and wine fridge area. We were lucky to have nice weather to eat dinners on the lovely porch that included a nice bbq unit, and a kids picnic table. The bathroom remodels are impressive. Kitchen area seating was also ample in terms of seating a larger group. Appreciated having a washer and dryer available. And of course the clean and private hot tub was used each night. The wireless internet service was great. This was the perfect home to host our adult children and grandchildren. We have a fabulous trip. Thank you for giving us this opportunity. Very much appreciate the hard work to renovate this historic home and make it available for us to enjoy.

If you like the combination of relax, beach walks, short drives to the forest, and fantastic shared dinners this is your place. The town is right there, the beach even closer and if the weather colaborates, hikes- the length you wish- are easy from the house. It is cozy and carwfully maintained. We keep coming back, and plan to return soon. Don't hesitate and book it!

We had a fun week here. Location was perfect for us. Easy to walk down to the beach and the bike path along the coast was right there. Little market next door was convenient to grab drinking water. A bit noisy early in the morning as it’s right along Highway One but otherwise quiet.

We had a fabulous weekend getaway at Mermaid Manor! The house is perfect! We enjoyed a beautiful day at the nearby beach within walking distance and then had a wonderful evening with a long soak in the hottub and sitting fireside by the outdoor fire pit. The winery up the road is a perfect picnic dpot with a gorgeous ocean view. The house has all.the amenities you need for a relaxing vacation.
