About

Olde Mill Golf Resort opened in 1972 and has recently been renovated, making it one of the premiere destinations in the Southeast.

Ellis Maples was the architect of Olde Mill Golf Resort, and his son and grandson continued the family legacy by updating it. The result is astounding, with breathtaking views, challenging tees, and dangerous hazards.

The 18-hole course has 4 tees, which accommodate golfers of all ages, genders, and rankings. This makes Olde Mill one of the best mountain golf courses in the eastern U.S.

Initially a private club, it is now open to the public for golfers, young and old to indulge in its blend of beauty and challenge.

Because it is located near area attractions like Devil's Den Nature Preserve, families can easily combine two adventures in a day. Another option is while some are golfing, others explore the towns of Fancy Gap and Laurel Fork, perhaps dining at Pit Stop Pasta & Grill. No matter which group you fall into, it's a win-win.

Whether you're a pro or amateur or want to learn to golf, visiting Olde Mill Golf Resort will add value to your Blue Ridge Parkway vacation.

Fun Facts & Cool Features

A fun fact is that the course's layout remains true to the vision of its original designer, Ellis Maples, who was inspired by Scotland's traditional courses. The attention to detail in maintaining this vision ensures a unique and authentic golfing experience.

Another fascinating feature is the resort's pristine lakes. They dazzle the eye with their beauty while, as hazards, challenging golfers' skill levels. With the Blue Ridge Mountains as your backdrop, you'll be in awe of this prestigious course's natural wonders that act as sentinels.

Despite its remote location, it has everything you'll need for an enjoyable game at the resort. The pro shop has apparel, gear, and other essentials should you need to rent or purchase anything. Golf lessons are available, and the practice greens and putting area help refine your technique. When you sink your last putt, top it off with a delicious meal in the resort's Maples Restaurant & Tavern and discover that their website claim, "We Provide Everything You Need," is spot on.

With its meticulously designed course, luxurious amenities, and commitment to preserving nature, Olde Mill promises an enriching and memorable experience in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
