About

LOLA - Wine Lounge offers high-quality vintages, exceptional service, and a relaxing setting, making for an adult-centric, peaceful retreat.

Founders Sam Lange and Anna Lombard joined forces to launch this remarkable establishment in the fall of 2023. Sam brings 40 years of experience in the wine industry, including time at the Spokane wine shop Grape and Grain, two decades as wine steward at Beverly's in The Coeur d'Alene Resort, and developing wine programs for regional markets and restaurants.

Anna complements Sam's vast knowledge with her sharp business acumen and a welcoming hospitality approach.

Together, they created an intentional, sleek lounge where the primary focus remains on discovery and enjoyment. Case in point is that Sam believes a patron's mood matters far more than traditional pairing rules. With this philosophy, he encourages guests to drink what they actually enjoy. Rest assured, should you wish to expand your horizon, Sam is available to offer expert guidance.

The lounge showcases a diverse curated list of renowned regions, including Napa Valley and Walla Walla. Additionally, its Downtown Coeur d'Alene location makes it easy to combine wine tasting with sightseeing. For example, after strolling the North Idaho Centennial Trail or a game at Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course, celebrate with wine and charcuterie at Lola.

By offering top-tier selections and a welcoming atmosphere, Sam and Anna have successfully established a premier destination for casual enthusiasts and seasoned experts alike.

Vibe

The exterior blends with the other businesses, its sleek, modern facade catching the eye.

The interior is elegant while exuding a spirit of acceptance and not pretentiousness. Here, warm wooden accents and soft lighting create a stunning visual landscape. The towering wine bottle display serves as functional art, while the stylish tables and comfortable furnishings reflect a well-thought-out aesthetic.

Best of all, the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between upscale and low-key, a trademark of CDA. It feels lively and welcoming, offering a peaceful environment where you can unwind with family or friends.

Seating options feature a cozy bar area, comfortable high and low tables, and plush sofas. During warmer months, the patio opens up for a delightful al fresco experience.

LOLA - Wine Lounge: Menu & Drinks

Keep in mind that the focus is on wines and not a diverse menu. Instead, you'll find healthy snacks that pair well with the vintages on-site.

Speaking of which, the charcuterie board is a must-try. This plate comes in two sizes, each featuring an assortment of sliced meats, cheese, olives, nuts, and fruits.

Next up is the meat and cheese board, featuring a platter of premium cured meats, artisanal cheeses, and delicious accompaniments that enhance every sip.

Another highly praised dish is the whipped feta, a creamy, savory delight that arrives with perfectly toasted bread. The feta's rich and tangy flavor is a wonderful contrast to the roasted olives that accompany this plate. Combined with artisan bread, you have a snack that complements any wine on-site.

For a slightly different option, the trio of hummus dips offers a fresh, vibrant choice that is satisfying and easy to share. Each dip has its own flavor profile, which makes it ideal for sampling wines.

Additional snacks include herb-marinated olives, roasted spiced nuts, and daily specials.

The wines at Loloa truly shine, offering a diverse and exciting menu. The Argentine Malbec is a crowd-pleaser, with its robust, dark fruit flavors and an incredibly smooth finish.

For those celebrating a special occasion or desiring something lighter, explore the sparkling wine selections. With a crisp, effervescent profile, these vintages invigorate the palate and pair wonderfully with the savory snacks.

Additionally, the premium Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon offers a classic, bold option. Its full-bodied notes stand up perfectly to the richer bites on the menu. You'll also find beer and cocktail options, so there's something for everyone.

So, step in, sit down, and uncork an adventure in this CDA hotspot, where small plates, wines, and ambiance converge.
