Tampa has a humid, subtropical climate. There are two distinct seasons, which translate into higher heat and humidity from May – October and a milder, dry season from late Fall through Spring (about November – April).
Spring (March to May) and Fall (September to November) are ideal times to visit Tampa as there tend to be fewer crowds yet plenty of events.
Peak season in Tampa extends from late winter to spring (February thru April), and family vacations are popular during the summer (June to August).
