This marvelous family-friendly home resides in the exclusive La Jolla area of Upper Muirlands surrounded by luxury homes. You will be nestled on a hillside on over a half acre, away from the hustle and bustle, and comfortably relaxing in a spacious 3,700 square-foot living area.
Renowned surrounding beaches offer a variety of charm and ambience. Experience the coves in La Jolla, the surf in Birdrock, or the wide open beaches of Pacific Beach - all within several miles of home. These local towns also offer restaurants and attractions for any appetite or mood. Often compared to the French Riviera, Downtown La Jolla provides fine dining, art galleries, and breathtaking views. On the flip side, Pacific Beach is known for its casual yet high-energy and eclectic atmosphere. Take a walk or bike ride on the boardwalk stopping at the many bars and eateries along its path.
Upon entering this custom-designed home, you will discover a beautiful blend of Southwest, modern, and traditional elements. The kitchen and dining area skylights flood the area with natural light. Wall-to-wall windows offer great views of the Pacific Ocean and the canyon surrounding you. The living area invites you to spread out comfortably on large sofas strategically placed near a large 86” smart TV. The full kitchen is a chef's playground with modern high-end appliances, including a double-door fridge, a six-burner gas range with a griddle, a built-in microwave, a dishwasher, a mini-fridge, and a beautiful coffee corner. A double sliding glass door leads you to a 750-square-foot patio for quintessential Southern California living! Discover a large outdoor dining area with an awning, a lounge area with umbrellas, beach loungers, and a gas grill for summertime cookouts.
Downstairs is an entertaining game room with a pool table, a shuffleboard table, a pinball machine, a dartboard, a table filled with board games, a 76” smart TV, and a full-size wet bar with large picture windows overlooking the canyon. From here you have direct access to a fully fenced backyard equipped with bocce ball, crocket, badminton, and bean toss.
If you're looking for more adventure, La Jolla Shores Beach is within five miles. Seaworld San Diego, Torrey Pines Golf Course, and Torrey Pines State Reserve are within 10 miles, while Old Town San Diego, Balboa Park, Downtown San Diego, Seaport Village, San Diego Zoo, and Del Mar Racetrack are within 15 miles of the home.

There is no Master Bedroom available in this house! In renting vacation houses for 30 years we've never had that happen before, so it wasn't on my list of 'must haves' to look for in the listing. When we arrived, all available bedrooms turned out to be standard / kids bedrooms & the real Master BDRM was marked 'Owner's Closet' & was locked. One of the smaller bdrms did have a Jack & Jill type bath that was shared with the Game Rm. But Holly Cow, this nice a property would be expected to have a M BDRM. If it didn't, it should have been mentioned in the property description. Had we realized, we would have selected another place. On the 'Up' side- The house was otherwise very nice. We were not effected by the lack of AC, which we did anticipate because it is not listed under the amenities, but was strange nonetheless. The Kitchen was super nice & every bit as well done & well appointed as advertised. And the highlight of the house was the generous & very very well equipped Game Room, which had views, a wet bar with ice maker, large screen TV with audio system, a full size shuffleboard table, deluxe pool table, darts, a pinball machine, chess, Jenga & selection of box games. One last note- The baths available for the BDRMS both have nice showers but they both have rounded pebble stone floors which, although they look nice, concentrate your entire weight on small portions of your feet which can be painful. We suggest a pair of thongs to wear when showering!
We stayed here for 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed the home. Kitchen was great for cooking, gas grill was very nice, bed linens were very nice patio had ocean views with spectacular sunsets. We had local family who came over to wear with us and there was plenty of room. We enjoyed local beaches, went sailing and jet skiing. We reported a malfunction in the washer and it was immediately addressed.
