We had an amazing stay at Borrowed Heaven on the lake! The home was beautifully maintained, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. The peaceful lake views and cozy interior made it hard to leave. What really stood out was the outstanding service from Vacasa—they were friendly, responsive, and made everything easy from check-in to checkout. Highly recommend this home and Vacasa for anyone looking for a stress-free, memorable stay!
Great location, the listing needs a few more details and “heads up”. Hot tub didn’t work on arrival, we finally got it up and running. On our arrival Oct 4th the pool was covered and visually had been for weeks, contacted support who informed us their properties generally close the pools by Sept 30th . That would’ve been a nice little fyi to put in the listing. Home has odor of cigarette/cigar smoke. Overall decent stay, house just needs a little more upkeep and listing could be more detailed.
Pros: • Spacious house located on a lake with stunning views. • Generally clean, though bathrooms/toilets could use more attention. • Ample room for guests. • Well-equipped kitchen. • Excellent pool and hot tub. Cons: • Unstable A/C: Works inconsistently, leading to uncomfortable temperatures, especially at night. • Strong smell of cigarette smoke all throughout the house. Unbearable at times. • Very poor to no internet connection, making it difficult to send messages or stream on apps like Netflix. • Exterior of home could also use a thorough cleaning.
The house looks like it is in the process of renovation and will eventually. be a nice property. The furniture and flooring looked new. The TVs were huge and dish satellite was great. Internet access was strong and allowed everyone to connect their devices. The pool is a nice size and the kids really enjoyed it, especially because the lake access was steep and therefore very difficult for young children. The location on the lake was great - on the public side where the water is cooler and in a quiet cove with the main lake not too far away. The basement is a fun hangout space for adults (even though it smelled very strongly of cigar smoke). There is a pool table, foosball, and another refrigerator downstairs.
