Smith Mountain Bliss

Home was as described and in a wonderful location. Property is well-kept and the home was clean & stocked upon arrival. King rooms are all nice (*Master only has tub, no shower). The twin bunk room is a bit tiny - teenagers will not fit well on these beds, but there was also a sofa bed and a roll-away cot downstairs in the basement. We would definitely stay again. Only complaint is a 10 AM check-out.

The house was perfect. Great location. Stocked with everything we ever could have needed. We are very pleased and will definitely be returning next year

Overall the house is nice and is a great spot on the lake. The ant problem puts a big damper on a worry free aspect.

Great View Plenty of room for our family of 8

This home was perfect for our family vacation including five adults and four children. The layout is great, including three bedrooms with king beds, and the fourth bedroom including a pair of bunkbeds. While that room is small and best suited for children rather than teenagers, Having it and a separate living room on the downstairs level allowed the kids to have their own entirely separate area all to themselves. The location mid-Lake is close to everything. At check-in, the house was clean, the beds were made, linens were provided and distributed, and there was a starter kit including Dishwasher soap and laundry detergent – all great touches! When we had an issue with the Wi-Fi due to a storm, Alexander from Vacasa was incredibly attentive, courteous and helpful! We would definitely recommend this home!

Nothing worked from the fireplace pit to the lights. Dead bugs everywhere which is fine considering the location. What wasn’t fine was the terrible mildew smell emanating from downstairs and pretty much every time you turned on a faucet. The bathrooms were so molded and mildewed over that we had cleaners come out. They then left bleach rags on the counter tops. When we used the beautiful tub, the spout from which water came out was completely rusted and pink grime if not dangerously moldy. The bathroom downstairs was the only safe spot to shower in — also black mold on the wood/ spiders nest galore. The lighting downstairs was terrible and then the lightning outside at night was non existent. Not to mention the light switches were confusing as heck with some of them being taped over completely. Oh the master bedroom had two holes - one being from the bathroom and the other leads to the kitchen. No privacy but plenty of natural lightning. Other than the views and nice neighbors, this wasn’t worth the money spent.
