And those who prefer to stay land bound will love spending time enjoying the water view from the patio swing or a rocking chair on the deck. When it’s time to explore, several restaurants are within walking distance on Overseas Hwy., with grocery stores, a golf course, and public beach access at Sombrero Beach all just a few miles away. At the home itself, you’ll find a bright, cheerful, one-level floor plan that’s designed for spending time together. Two sets of French doors onto the deck let in lots of natural light and the lovely water view. The open, updated kitchen boasts a full suite of stainless steel appliances and a standalone island, perfect for a quick snack or meal prep space. Grab a bite together at the large dining table, then head out to explore. After a day on the water, toss your catch on the gas grill for an easy family cookout. Beautiful, central location! We loved the canal front with view to the Atlantic Ocean. Kayak availability and all the essentials needed for activities, fishing, hot tub, swing in the sunrise. Vacasa and house manager were great and easy to get a hold of for anything we needed or had questions about. Would recommend this home to anyone! Marathon is the perfect key to stay. Central to everything!

I would have given this property 5 stars if it weren't for all the sensor spot lights. They are everywhere, if you like that prison yard feel, then this is the house for you! Aside from that it was a lovely well maintained property. One of the cleanest houses I've ever stayed in and Vacasa is very responsive and helpful.

We had a great stay at Lime in the Coconut in Marathon. The house is perfectly located on a canal, which was ideal for boating. We loved watching the manatees that came up to the dock every day. The neighbor across the canal was very helpful and shared useful tips for getting around by boat. The only minor challenge was parking our 27 ft boat trailer — it was a tight fit, and we had to walk it in under the carport — but it worked out fine. Overall, a great spot, and we’re already planning to come back next year.
