The only positive was the property manage Mike - he went above and beyond to try and rectify the poor condition of everything this house offered. From a freezing pool, broken outdoor furniture, missing blankets, sheets, towels, to getting a Keurig as the coffee maker like most of the kitchen accessories was broke. Maintenance was at the home 3-4 times for minor items like no functioning lights due to burned out blubs, toilet did not work properly, bathroom fan broke mid stay I could go on an on. It is apparent the owners could care less about their guests stay and comfort. There was even a label on the washer saying we could not wash towels or sheets we were to call Vacasa for replacements!!! What a joke this house was I will never stay here again.
The house is quite roomy for its size, and the furnishings and decor are comfortable and in keeping with Key West's tropical vibe. The large kitchen and dining area make it easy to spread out and create your home-away-from-home. The kitchen is well equipped for "dining in", although you may have to purchase basic supplies like zip loc bags and aluminum foil. Don't discount this house's appeal due to the "vintage" second bathroom: While it could use an update (as of March 2025) for the Insta generation, the down-the-shore blue and white color scheme is easy on the eyes. The pool and patio were lovely to relax in, and the property is nicely landscaped and well-maintained. Although it is on Flagler, traffic noise is limited to commuting hours, with some outbound traffic later in the evening. Otherwise, the neighborhood is quiet. Anyone living in a typical suburban or urban environment would find the traffic noise tolerable. All in all, Flagler Station was a great place to call "home" in Key West, and Vacasa has always treated us well during our stays.
Great location. Higgs Beach and Salute were just a quick bike ride. Duval Street was just a little further. Our boat was in a slip only 2 miles away. The Owners and Vacasa staff were quick to respond to any needs.
We stayed Feb4-Mar4 20223. The house is just like the pictures. Large kitchen/dr/lr area and nice sized bedrooms. Pool is quite big; laundry in separate room neat back gate. 4 minute bike ride to Higgs beach and just 9/10 to Duval street of the piers. Unfortunately there is construction happening right behind the house when we were there for the month so, we were definitely lacking tranquility and privacy when our back, but we dealt with it. Def fits 6 people easily. My only issue was that there were no kitchen supplies at all beyond the spice rack ..no dishwasher liquid and one bottle of windex..that could have been better. We left stuff for the next guests.
My husband and I stayed at this house for a month and we so enjoyed it it was so much more than we expected. It has all the glamour of the Caribbean. The house was great the beds were marvelous. The pool is spectacular. I can’t say enough good stuff about this house I even got used to the iguanas and started to give them names. The location of the house makes it so easy to get around the island the key I should say. Without a doubt this is a five star house I would live there.
