This is a great cabin situated in a beautiful area, very close to the slopes, great choice for families. Everything inside - kitchen, furniture, bathrooms is very basic and roustic, but comfortable and clean and we had everything what we needed. We very much appreciated the jacuzzi time. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated many books and games- which made it great for a family vacation (even if we passed the age). Our major issues were with the guest services: The check in was very confusing to us. I nitially I received a message with one code for the key - and after 24 hr I received a completely new message with two different codes which I actually missed. Apple maps were confusing and took us to a different location, however google maps were more helpful . We arrived late, at night, and had difficulties finding location using the apple maps, and then the lock code I had was not working (since I did not see the second message from Vacasa). We were lucky to meet the neighbor - at midnight, who surprisingly actually knew the correct lock code. We felt very lucky to meet with him, and he was very nice and respectful, however it led to major questions privacy and security. Also, the sink in the bathroom upstairs was clogged - luckily we had the unplug tool available on the side and it was easy to help ourselves - however this should not be our job on vacation. I left a message on Vacasa asking to talk to somebody about this the next day - nobody called back. In fact, I am not sure if the text messages with Vacasa were with a real person or actually an AI type of thing - since at some point, I received Chat GPT type of answers and decided to stop the communication. In addition, we were notified in advance about the jacuzzi guy coming one of the days, however they could not give an exact time and did not give a courtesy call before. This was very inconvenient since he needed access to the house and I was interrupted during a webex meeting. Luckily we were home, otherwise this could have also created major problems with the service dogs. Overall, I think this is a beautiful, spacious cabin in a great location close to the ski - perfect for family trips. It can definitely use some improvements, however we made the best out of it. The customer service should certainly improve: it was well below expectations, and this could be an easy fix.
Family of 4 stayed here for spring break. The location of the cabin is amazing! About everything else was somewhat disappointing. This is a rustic cabin. Small rooms, bathrooms, old furniture, and lots of steps. The master bedroom is very small, not much storage, uncomfortable mattress, old bedding, no curtains. Living room furniture needs upgrading badly. We did enjoy the hot tub every evening. Kitchen is functional but could use some more utensils like scissors, plastic cups, etc. And you need to bring anything you might other than salt and Folgers coffee. Our kids enjoyed the loft area and having their own bathroom. Could use a tv or something up there. There is quite a bit of road noise since it’s RIGHT on the highway. All in all, we were fine here, but for the price, it was not worth it to us.
This is our second time to rent this house and I honestly could go back once a year. Location is perfectly close to TSValley but far away enough from towns to be tranquil. Even though the furniture is not modern or new, it suites the house and is great for not worrying about a kid messing it up. Love the huge kitchen table and the window overlooking the forest below. Grab your coffee and take a dip in the hot tub for a morning wake up. We will be back!
Beautiful cabin tucked away in between mountain peaks with a small river close enough to walk to.
Great cabin and location is close to ski village. House is lacking maintenance and upkeep. Furniture was not comfortable.
