Pros: The house was modern and nicely decorated and the view from the backyard was stunning. Unfortunately that’s about the only positives I can share. Cons: The main thing is that the house is under a flight path. Something that no one had mentioned in their review. Although it is mentioned that it’s within 2-3 miles from the airport, it does not indicate that there is literally a plane flying right above every 2-5 minutes which is extremely loud even when you’re inside the house with doors closed. As soon as we checked in, the first thing we noticed was water leak in the first bedroom. In addition to the light/fan switch not working. Somehow we managed to turn on the light and fan but they wouldn’t turn off which made the bedroom unusable the first night. It was eventually fixed the next day but we just decided to use the lamps instead of the ceiling light just in case. The laundry machines were outdoors in a closet and they were extremely dusty and filthy, which made us question the last time they were used to wash the beddings and towels. We had to clean them ourselves to be able to put a load in. Although the backyard was beautiful and pool was big, it was very dirty with pool floor stained that looked like mildew and there were a lot of debris. We were told the pool guy’s schedule was Tuesdays and Fridays but we checked in on a Thursday so why was the pool filthy? Even after it was cleaned the next day, there were still a lot of debris. We paid a nightly heating fee to enjoy the pool but we didn’t feel safe swimming in the filthy water until the last two days of our stay. We asked for some compensation but all we got from Vacasa was the run around. No compensation was offered. Lastly, although Vacasa was responsive to our messages, all they really did was relay our messages to the area manager who we never met. So lesson learned, it is best to rent a home that you communicate with the owners directly. They will take care of their own home and guests much better than any property management would. So I would not recommend this property because its under a flight path and would definitely not recommend a property managed by Vacasa. I feel bad leaving bad reviews but I hope it helps others avoid the same frustration and hassle we experienced with this house and Vacasa.
The house is well-located and equipped with all the amenities anyone could need. The house rules were generally reasonable, except the rule about never playing music ever or risk being fined. Also, during our stay, grounds people were scheduled to do work and showed up in the middle of our vacation. We were expected to leave the house in the middle of the day to accommodate (we refused). Tricky rules and unexpected visitors aside, it was a really great stay.
We loved the spaciousness of this home. Just st needs more oven pans.
Perfect house with all the amenities. The location is very good and the neighborhood is friendly and quiet. Would definitely stay here again.
Great location and amenities! First time dealing with Vacasa and we didn't have any issues as others noted in their reviews.
