My little family of four had such a cozy stay! The house is definitely quirky and dated; teeny tiny rooms, slightly slanted floors, super loved but cozy furniture and some awesome vintage style decor and furniture. The weather was super super stormy with gale wind warnings all weekend, but we felt cozy, safe and super tucked in as the rental sits between much larger places. The beds were great with lots of blankets and we had everything we needed to make meals and such. Some new furniture covers and some serious foundational work will definitely need to happen (you can see where the roof is starting to bow and I already mentioned the slanted floor) but the space just feels so cozy, warm and loved.
Loved the coziness.
We quite enjoyed our stay here! The cottage is old and small but comfortable for the two of us. It’s a very quiet location which we loved and the bed we slept on was very comfortable though the room was tiny and cramped. We were grateful to have another room to keep our luggage in and spread out a bit! There were enough dishes to host our large extended family of 25! Really! I counted the plates! I spent the first hour there organizing the cupboards and just moving stuff to the top to make room for a few groceries. Plenty of pots and pans etc and good quality though. Loved having extra linens and blankets! The game closet was a fun bonus as were the extra rolls of TP😂 It’s an older cottage with quirks… like the incredible slant in the floors from the front to the back of the house… got pics of the suitcase rolling through the kitchen… but the energy of the space grows on you quickly and we just felt very comfortable. Both lamps in the living area had problems, the really cute antique one needing an entirely new cord so lighting was a bit dim at night but manageable. The couch cushions were shot… very flat and over all just needed replacing, but the washable covers were reasonably clean. Again, sometimes less can be more and in this case the wood chair probably just needs to go… it was so bad we would not even sit in it. Wicker ones were cute but soggy and worn seats there as well. Loved having the laundry! The beach accessories were a great bonus as were the umbrellas which we expected to need but luckily didn’t 😀 The beach is right across the street and we walked to some cute shops… loved the little white church and the big blue “world famous” shops! The train is just fun to hear and watch pass. Easy place to head north or south from and next time we will likely stay longer so we can explore more! Would recommend to anyone but would suggest a little refresh.😀
The house was nicely located to be able to walk to everything. It is outdated and not cleaned well. For the money I expected more.
We loved our stay here. Cozy with everything we needed. Appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and the comfy beds. So close to the beach. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Thank you!
