Or just spend your days and evenings entertaining friends and family while grilling out in the yard. The Old Haul Road is a popular trail used for biking, walking, and even horseback riding. The beach offers the best of both worlds: to the left, an easy walk to the surf and sand, while off to the right of the property, you'll find a small, easy to maneuver cliff which takes you to the rocky beach where there are tide pools teeming with sea life and large rocks for scaling. Just two-and-a-half miles south, visit Glass Beach, while the Mendocino Botanical Garden can be found a little over five miles away. Please note The upstairs bedroom is not fully enclosed and is open to the main living space below via a staircase. Things to know: Full kitchen with a dishwasher Three cribs and a high chair provided Includes a back-up generator that automatically switches on if power is lost.

The house was so great! The only complaint I have was the spa was not working. Other than that the house was beautiful and the proximity to the beach was amazing! A huge fire pit and the sounds of the ocean were great!

This house was so clean and truly perfect for our needs. Three of us worked remotely and then explored the amazing coastline walking paths right behind the house, which led us directly to the beach, the state park, and so many beautiful spots. We saw deer, squirrels, and rabbits on the property too! It’s a great place to enjoy a sunset or 2, and of course the hot tub under the stars. It is so peaceful with no light pollution. Amazing views and great location. The kitchen was pretty well equipped. There are a ton of towels, the house is beautifully decorated and spacious.

This place is wonderful. The price is on the higher side, so the value feels a little lower in my opinion, but the location makes up for it—steps from the beach and close to downtown Fort Bragg. The house is very clean and well-maintained, with thoughtful touches throughout. Towels (including beach towels), soaps, shampoos, and a well-stocked kitchen are all provided. Like other reviewers mentioned, a screen on the sliding doors facing the ocean would be a nice improvement. The hot tub was another highlight. It required a quick reset from the control panel when we arrived, but once running, it was flawless—sparkling clean water, perfectly set temperature, strong jets, and a view that makes you forget time altogether. Watching the sunset from the tub while the ocean roars in the background is an experience worth the trip alone. Overall, I can’t recommend this property enough. It’s a place where you feel instantly at home, yet fully immersed in the beauty and charm of the Mendocino Coast. Thank you to the host for creating such a memorable stay.
