STJ22A Villa On The Green - Partial Condo

This unit has potential but it needs some attention. Upon arrival, the first thing I encountered was a roach still moving on the bathroom floor. I sent a picture to Vacasa. They simply said that they would pass the info along to the local team. Otherwise, the unit was pretty clean but that’s not what you want to see in a unit you’ll be staying for an entire weekend. There was also no pool key in the unit. I had to call Vacasa and have a ticket put in with the local team as there is no one locally to call about issues such as this. We were packed up and ready to go to the pool with our children when we realized there was no key. Thankfully, the local team did call back and provide me with a code to the main pool that was technically for owners only so we were able to use that. This is only a partial unit; the unit/room that is conjoined with this one had a very very strong smell of marijuana. Again, not a “family friendly atmosphere”. They have an under door draft stopper but it is still very apparent. I’m typically a big review reader but I took a chance on this new listing and I will say, “lesson learned”. I have never posted a review but felt compelled to leave this so another family doesn’t blindly stay here without knowing the situation.

The condo is situated in St James which is a beautiful secluded gated community. The community has all the amenities you would need. The condo was average and a bit outdated but we did have all things you would need for a stay at the beach. The condos in the St James community sits about 2 miles back once you enter the community. This was not as convenient compared to other rentals I’ve stayed at because it takes at least 7 minutes just to get out of the community to the front gate. Overall, I would stay here again for the price. It was a budget friendly condo and it’s what to be expected. The cleaning ladies did a great job and made sure we had everything we needed.
