About

Like finding hidden treasure on the Bolivar beaches, HardHeads IceHouse Grill is a gem of an eatery.

The story of this beloved spot dates back several decades, when it was initially a humble gathering for locals to enjoy good food, drinks, and camaraderie. But in 2022, Tim and Cathy Hammond purchased the restaurant. It had always been their favorite dining spot, and when the opportunity presented itself, they jumped!

HardHeads IceHouse Grill has evolved into a go-to destination for those seeking a taste of authentic Texan hospitality. It's perfect after a day in Beaumont feeding alligators at Gator Country

When looking to elevate your Bolivar dining experience, HardHeads IceHouse Grill is the place to be. This family-owned eatery with friendly staff, an accommodating atmosphere, and superb cuisine will win you over, one morsel at a time.

 Vibe

The HardHeads IceHouse Grill is in Crystal Beach and offers a unique and inviting atmosphere that both locals and Bolivar visitors cannot get enough of.

The establishment's exterior captures the essence of coastal living with its vibrant colors and laid-back beach vibes. The beachy decor, with palm trees and colorful umbrellas, sets the tone for an enjoyable experience.

Inside, you'll find a cozy, welcoming interior with rustic charm. The walls showcase photographs and memorabilia that pay homage to the Bolivar Flats community and its rich history.

HardHeads IceHouse Grill is an open-air restaurant and bar featuring two decks and a main dining area and bar. For a more beach-bar vibe, check out the front deck or Hambones Hideaway on the back.

The Hoo Haa Hut is their latest addition under the palapa. It offers walk-up service to the Hambones Hideaway bar.

Whether you're looking for a casual spot to grab a bite or a place to unwind with friends and family, HardHeads offers an atmosphere that will make you feel at home.

HardHeads IceHouse Grill: Menu & Drinks

One of the standout dishes is the Bolivar "Light" House Salad. While the name is a play on Point Bolivar Lighthouse, it's not fooling around as a meal! The salad consists of a wedge of crisp iceberg lettuce with Signature Bolivar Sauce, diced tomatoes, purple onions, bacon, and bleu or feta cheese crumbles. Ask your server to chop it up into bite-sized portions if you prefer. Extra Bolivar Sauce is included, and blackened, grilled, or fried protein is available for an additional cost.

A popular favorite is the Bolivar Burger, which has a unique Cajun twist! The burger is blackened (Cajun style!) and topped with pepper jack cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and purple onion. It comes with a side of seasoned Crinkle Fries.

HardHeads IceHouse Grill offers flatbread pizzas, pub bites, and seafood options. A children's menu is also available, adding another reason to visit after a thrilling day exploring Moody Gardens.

When you're ready for an ice-cold beer, HardHeads IceHouse Grill has you covered! One tantalizing brew is the Crying Eagle Louisiana Lager, which is refreshing and tasty. Traditional cocktails abound, and their sweet tea is some of the best!

The restaurant's commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients has built a loyal customer base who appreciate its homemade dishes and laid-back atmosphere.
