Casago: What was your background before deciding to get into the vacation rental industry?
I come from a background in Civil Engineering and Business, but real estate quickly stole my heart. I kicked off my career with a brokerage, handling long-term rentals in New England. Before I knew it, I was diving into short-term rentals all along the East Coast.
Casago: What do you like the most about hosting?
It’s a toss-up between meeting awesome people and creating spaces where they can make memories. That’s the real magic of this business.

Outside of real estate, I’m proud to serve on the Board of Directors for Children Across America. This national non-profit is dedicated to bringing STEM education to kids who might not otherwise get the chance to discover how exciting those fields can be.
Casago: Before we wrap up, what is your favorite thing about Columbia, SC?
Being in Columbia means getting the best of both worlds — big city perks with small town charm. Plus, being able to hit Lake Murray after a busy day or grab a craft beer on a sunny patio in February? That’s the dream.
