About

Feast is one of those restaurants that defies labels. While diners and food critics consider it a fine-dining spot, it lacks white linens and has an eccentric decor. Yes, it has an extensive wine selection on display, but the bar caters to the happy hour cocktail crowd. The rotating cuisine is definitely upscale, but is served in a relaxed style rather than a haute-dining manner.

Such deciding factors started in 2001 with Chef DougLevy's Feast Tasteful Takeout, offering gourmet carry-out. News of his artisan cuisine spread through Tucson like a prairie fire! In 2010, he moved it to its current location, which The New York Times and Zagat praise for its creative fare and top-notch service.

Chef Levy's path to becoming a restaurateur is as unique as the decor and his dishes. He originally studied art and linguistics at the University of Arizona, but a job offer at the renowned Tucson restaurant Boccata changed everything. During his tenure at the stellar eatery, he built a career that culminated in the creation of Feast.

Aside from its seasonal menu, Feast is also famous for its extensive wine list, which has won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence every year since 2005.

So, is it a fine dining spot or a casual Euro-style bistro? Why not visit on your Arizona vacation to decide for yourself!

Vibe

The outside is sleek and modern, with clean lines and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The brick-and-stucco design, paired with its dazzling, large signage, lets you know that this isn't your typical upscale restaurant.

Step inside, and the mish-mash of modern with artistic touches continues. Picture exposed ductwork with colorful walls that fall short of the ceiling's height. Contemporary artwork dots the walls, while metal accents and soft lighting add a touch of sophistication.

Feast offers several dining options to suit any occasion. There's a private dining room for intimate gatherings, a relaxed bar area for casual drinks, and a patio perfect for enjoying Tucson's beautiful weather.

Best of all, the ambiance suits any occasion. Whether you're savoring wine at the bar, celebrating a romantic milestone, or gathering with friends, you'll feel at ease at Feast.

Feast: Menu & Drinks

With a rotating brunch, lunch, and dinner menu, there are too many delicious options to list all the standouts. Instead, we'll focus on the lunch-dinner menu. No matter when you swing by, rest assured that you'll be tasting Chef Doug Levy's creativity with fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Kickstart your epicurean adventure with something from the Just Getting Started section. A popular selection is the sesame-almond cauliflower pancakes. These tasty appetizers come with vegetable slaw and a sweet garlic-chili dipping sauce.

If you stop for lunch, the Between the Bread selections are artisan handhelds that will satisfy any palate. An example is the crispy chicken thigh sandwich with coconut-peanut sauce and charred cabbage on a brioche bun. It comes with pickled Fresno chilies and mixed greens.

Moving on to offerings in The Main Thing portion of the menu, one dish that diners can't stop talking about is the potato-crusted sea bass. This tender seafood dish comes with apple-celeriac potato pancakes and a rich cider cream.

Vegetarian dishes like the rainbow carrots ensure something for every diet. This artisan dish showcases fresh caramelized multicolored baby carrots with oil-cured olives, pomegranate glaze, and anise seed. Add the sautéed Swiss chard, crispy shallots, and yogurt cheese, and you have a vibrant feast!

The drink menu is just as impressive. Feast's wine list, recognized by Wine Spectator, features rare and exceptional bottles, such as a 2009 Rioja. For cocktail lovers, the herbaceous maraschino cherry cocktail is a standout, offering a unique mix of flavors that pairs beautifully with the food.

By now, we hope we've wet your appetite to dine at this one-of-a-kind restaurant. Feast combines inventive dishes, expertly crafted drinks, and an artsy vibe, making it a must-visit when vacationing in Tucson.
