This historic and award-winning, Obie Bowman-designed cabin is sure to bring adventure to your next Sea Ranch getaway. This home features redwood-clad walls, plenty of natural light from beautiful skylights, and a second-story deck overlooking the Redwood trees. Built as one of 15 “walk-in” vacation cabins, this unique home's design was guided by a concern for minimizing the visual and physical impacts on the land. Vehicles for these 15 homes are restricted to a single parking area with easy access via foot trails and a limited use road for easy loading and unloading. Additionally, the lots for these homes are just large enough to accommodate the cabins, leaving nearly 90% of the land as a perpetual natural preserve. Relax on the balcony overlooking a bird's-eye white water view of the Pacific Ocean. During the day, enjoy the nearby forest trails or cross Highway 1 to hike on the bluff trails. Head over to the shared swimming pools, saunas, and tennis courts at any of the three recreation centers. At night, you can relax and warm your toes by the wood stove while streaming your favorite movie via Netflix or DVD (there is a DVD rental store in Gualala) on the 50-inch flatscreen TV. Upstairs in the master bedroom, you can open the gorgeous skylights to watch the stars and the milky way at night, or close them so that you can sleep in as late as you want! Enjoy the nature and serenity of the iconic, architecturally significant coastal community of Sea Ranch, home to many hiking trails and beaches including Stengel Beach nearby. Tee off at the Sea Ranch Golf Links only eight miles away, or visit one of the three community recreation centers to enjoy the shared amenities.
