The room was very spacious and had plenty of room for our party of 4. The amenities within the room: stove, oven, fridge, and jacuzzi, worked well and saved us some money from eating out. However we did have a bit of an issue with some bugs making their way into the room.
I booked this Vacasa rental back in March, and the condition of this property — along with Vacasa’s handling of the situation — was unacceptable, unsafe, and completely misrepresented. We arrived late at night (we were on vacation and had just driven in) and immediately discovered multiple serious issues. The hot water was brown, full of sediment, and unsafe to shower in. The TV was missing its power cord, the sink basin was cracked, the shower door had no handles and couldn’t be closed, the patio screen was ripped, and the patio door was unlocked when we arrived. Later we also discovered roaches coming onto the kitchen counter toward our food. We reported everything to Vacasa immediately. Since it was already the end of the day, they told us to wait for maintenance the next morning. We did exactly as instructed. The next day, we left for our festival and told Vacasa maintenance could enter the unit while we were gone. No one came. No repairs were made, the TV cord was never delivered, and the water remained brown when we returned that night. That night, while trying to eat dinner, roaches came out on the counter. Again, Vacasa told us to “wait until tomorrow.” The following day, we left again for the festival and again allowed Vacasa to enter. Still no maintenance. None of the issues were corrected during our entire stay. We were forced to go to a gas station to shower because the water was unsafe, and we had to use a laundromat for our clothes because the unit’s conditions made us uncomfortable using their washer. My boyfriend showered once in the unit before we realized the severity of the water issue and developed red, itchy skin afterward. My child was also present in these unsafe conditions. Later, we reviewed public feedback and saw years of complaints about this same unit, going back long before our March booking, showing a clear pattern of neglect. The listing also stated the unit was located on the 4th floor, but Vacasa placed us on the 2nd floor. The listing also showed décor and conditions that did not match the actual unit. Vacasa now claims they cannot refund the stay because we “stayed three nights.” We only stayed because they repeatedly instructed us to wait for maintenance — which never arrived — and never offered relocation or cancellation. The unit was uninhabitable from the start, and our screenshots, photos, and Vacasa’s own messages show this clearly. This rental was unsafe, unsanitary, inaccurately advertised, and completely neglected. Vacasa failed to address the issues, failed to send maintenance despite multiple promises, and then refused to take responsibility. I have filed a dispute with my bank and documented everything. Avoid this unit and Vacasa in general. They do not maintain their properties, they do not follow through on basic support, and they do not stand by their own policies.

The fire alarm kept going off and was not only disruptive to our stay but the neighbors around us. We were not offered another place to stay or a hotel. They only reason it stopped was because the maintenance man from Gateway removed it from the wall. Vacasa wasn't very helpful and at many times rude. I'd be very cautious when staying at this property even though the apartment was perfectly fine. Communication and follow through when there was a problem was lacking.
