The view from High Pines Cabin was remarkable. You can see Long's Peak and the Front Range towering in the background. We were lucky enough to have a clear morning and see the alpenglow as the sun rose. This property is adjacent to Rocky Mountain National Park's Deer Mountain trails and we enjoyed climbing up the mountain. So very peaceful and quiet....we saw deer every day. A super experience!!
We absolutely loved the views, that part alone made this cabin worth it to us. Other than that, the beds were comfy, check in and check out was easy, we loved how close it is to everything, but also how private it feels. We saw some wild life right out the window. I had a couple minor complaints I sent privately to the owner, but all in all, we loved it and will be back!
You will not grow tired of the views this cozy cabin offers. This was our second stay and plan to continue staying here in the future!
The view from this cabin was absolutely gorgeous! It was the reason we booked the cabin and it did not disappoint! Coffee on the porch at sunrise was an absolute must! This cabin was less than 10 mins from RMNP (Rocky Mountain National Park). We were in the park by 7 and able to stay until Sunset! They aren't kidding when they say you need 4-wheel to access, even in August we skidded in the gravel at the top near the cabin. Our only issue was no water in the kitchen (sink and dishwasher) due to a leak. We were notified after checking in that it had been shut off and maintenance was supposed to come the next day, however they didn't show. We were not at the cabin much and ate all our meals picnic style in the park, so it wasn't an issue for us. The few dishes we did have we 'toted' water from the bathroom and hand washed.
I gave 1 star because 0 stars wasn't an option. The view from the deck was amazing. The house itself should never be rented in its condition. The carpet had several huge stains that looked like blood, or throw up. The bathroom was covered in black mold. My entire family has had respiratory symptoms since we got there, I'm assuming from the mold. The grill was so dirty we couldn't cook on it, until we went and bought cleaner and throughly cleaned it. Both bathrooms had stuff splattered all over the walls. We tried to leave but couldn't get a reservation anywhere else in the middle of the night.
