The check-in process was seamless. The home is on the water, but you must walk a long gravel path to get to the actual lake to swim. Be aware it is a VERY steep hill to go up and down — definitely doable but certainly leaves you winded. They had lifejackets, paddle boards and kayaks for the guests to use which was very nice! The fire pit was perfect for closing out our evenings after a long day at the lake. The lake access itself is very private and easy to access the water. The inside of the home was very clean and well equipped with amenities. Comes with a nice TV, plenty of DVDs, foosball and darts. The back porch is very spacious with a gas grill. One thing that can be frustrating for some is the lack of internet. There is generic internet through Vacasa but it boots you out often. The home is also a duplex, so keep in mind the fire pit and lake may have to be shared. Overall, a great experience and perfect getaway on the best lake in East TN!!
It was a nice rental. Very clean on the inside. The property manager and rental company were amazing to work with! If you do not mind sharing the multi unit home and outdoor space with others this cabin is an option. The cabin’s upstairs is split into two rentals which we did not know until arriving. It would be great if you were to rent the studio attached with another couple. They would have their own murphy bed, bathroom, kitchen, divided deck and grill. The basement is currently not rented out. Our family did not mind the steep walk to the lake but would have liked to have access to the water in view of the cabin and deck. It is muddy where you enter the water so bring water shoes. There are train tracks close to the property but did not wake us while we were sleeping nor disturb us. We still could hear the wildlife; owls, birds, coyotes and other creatures. There are snakes you can see from the deck but that part of the yard is private property. If you are planning to stay a week know there is not a washer or dryer. The neighbors next to this rental are wonderful people! Across the water are fist come fist serve camp sites but again it was not disruptive. Over all this is a nice rental option.
Exactly as described. If we’re ever back in the area we would definitely book again.
