For the price it’s an amazing place, but besides that it was a decent place to stay. Ocean view with a fire place was great, but the unit was kind of run down. Deck had wear and tear, deck chairs weren’t great, paint chipping in unit, door frame breaking, bathroom door sticks, floor is sticky. They provided the thinnest blanket ever and not the most comfortable pillows. Bed was decent. It was in a great location with a big parking lot. Direction is very confusing to find the place. The place is at Sandstone point motel and it’s to the right up the hill slightly. I won’t call it a couple getaway but if you’re on a tight budget and want to splurge on a beach getaway this place is perfect
The view was spectacular
The inside was great for the price!!! The outside appears I’d put at a 2/5, but inside our room was fine. Some parts (tiles cracked in bathroom, rust) are outdated and will probably need simply replaced soon. Lots of reviews said mattress was firm but my mattress was like so squishy 😂 overall I plan to come again it was great for the price!
Beautiful view from the balcony! Place is comfortable and quiet, clean. Have enough bowels. Looks is exactly like shown on photos. Location is great and comfortable.
First, the good things: the fireplace was great and on a timer, which was nice. The view was great, though the weather was mostly socked in fog. Not the fault of the owners, of course. The place was very clean. TV worked fine. The coffee maker didn’t work so we had to go out for coffee our first morning but they replaced it with one that did work for our next day. No tea or decaf coffee supplied, so make sure you bring that if you want it. The door to the balcony was extremely difficult to pull open. The bed was OK but not great. And I think the “romantic getaway” description is rather misleading. Not only was the bed not great, the shower was only big enough for one person at a time. Also, there was only one chair provided at the small table and one upholstered chair. So if this was intended for a romantic getaway for a couple, they might want to rethink the furniture or lack of chair pairs. The electrical outlets, some of them were so loose that the plugs would just fall out if you tried to plug something in. There was a shelf rack that looked like it could be used for hanging something up, but there were no hangers provided. The lock to enter the room was challenging. I had to enter the set of numbers about five or more times just to get it to open the first time. And it wasn’t clear how to lock the room so we had to do some online research to figure that out. Would be nice if there were instructions. The room and bathroom were small, but they met our needs. Would have been nice to have an ice tray or somewhere to get ice. As far as we could tell there was nothing around or available to us.
Super inexpensive and excellent ocean view!!
