So, little bit of a mixed review here. On the positive side, this casita was clean and bright, the location is great and the view is phenomenal. It does have some quirks. It has tremendous potential and with a little fine tuning and some thought it could really shine. One oddity is that there are no screens on the windows. This is significant because when the western sun shines through the beautiful picture windows, the place gets pretty warm. This is easily remedied by opening up the other windows to let the ocean breeze in. Without screens, however, the bugs come in along with the breeze. There is a coffee pot, but no coffee provided; there were wine glasses, but no wine bottle opener (we purchased on and donated it, so there is one there now). There is a kitchen, but it is pretty basic, so just keep cooking plans simple and not too complex. To wrap up on a positive note, there is a wonderful deck – we spent many hours out there reading, playing games and just relaxing and enjoying the view and fresh air.
A beautiful and a quiet place! Love it!
This house was perfectly sized and charming for our couples getaway in Mendocino Fort Bragg. Full kitchen amenities were appreciated. Parking is a short walk to the cottage and the cottage is very near the main house. Stargazing from the hot tub at night was spectacular unfortunately the deck does not face west so you don’t get a very magical sunset. The bed was comfortable and firm. Plenty of pillows, blankets and towels. There wasn’t any coffee in the kitchen so pack your own! Loved our stay and would definitely come again! Don’t miss the botanical gardens at Fort Bragg!
This is a modernistic ADU very close to the main house. Lovely view, excellent hot tub, and kitchen with stove top, no oven. Has a micro and a toaster oven. Excellent hot water and the water tastes very good. Very clean. Spotty WIFI. No TV which was fine by us but a bit of a surprise. You also need to walk a bit to get to the unit, so think about how heavy your supplies are! View amazing and you doesn't love the CA coast! You can get close to the edge for those who like the wind and the view. We love it.
This gorgeous little house is right on the cliffside with perfect views of the ocean and great stargazing. It's comfy and has a decent kitchen. There's also a fantastic tub! It's about 2 miles from Pt Cabrillo lighthouse, and the walk is pretty easy. All in all, one of my favorite places that I've ever stayed.
Great location, Easy drive to either Mendocino or Fort Bragg. Nice view of the ocean.
