World-class beaches and parks are five to ten minutes away, including Van Damme State Park, Big River Beach, and Mendocino Headlands State Park.

Inside, warm up in front of the wood stove as you gaze out at treetop views through the A-frame doors and windows. Get even closer to the views when you sink into the wood-basin hot tub, available on the expansive deck. On a clear night, you will be treated to a full sky of stars and the gentle sound of ocean waves in the distance. The chef of your group will adore the stainless steel appliances and ample meal prep space available in the gourmet kitchen. The bedrooms are equally inviting, all soaked in sunlight and furnished with soft linens. A projector and Netflix streaming offer the perfect set-up for a movie night! A private washer/dryer and internet access tie together the property's day-to-day amenities. End each day watching the sunset below the redwood vista. This is a special place that you will have a hard time leaving! All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. This property is not equipped with air-conditioning. The Vista House is on a shared property with Mendocino Redwood Retreat - Sunrise Cottage, which can be rented separately. Outdoor open spaces are shared, but each home has its own dedicated deck and assigned parking. If both of them are available, you may rent them together as Redwood Retreat - Vista+Sunrise Cottage.

Check-in Form: To ensure a smooth and secure stay for all guests, we kindly require completion of our short check-in form after booking. This includes signing our standard rental agreement and verifying guest and payment information. It only takes a few minutes and helps us prepare the home for your arrival. We prioritize a safe environment for our guests. To monitor arrivals and vehicle safety, we have two exterior security cameras: one on the main home's roof facing the cottage entrance and driveway, and another at the front gate near the EV charger facing the main house entry. Both are strictly outdoor-facing; we value your privacy and have no indoor surveillance of any kind.
