We got there and the floor still had sand that we could feel on our feet but you couldn’t see any. The fridge had rust spots on it and the chairs were stained from being worn down. I like using Vacasa because they provide one roll of toilet paper per bathroom and one pack of paper towels and a little welcome pack for one time uses. They also provided towels which was nice. The beach right outside was why i booked this cottage specifically because of the cost and the ocean being right there; however the beach had a small section you could walk out on and the rest was closed down due to a potential petroleum leakage in the ocean and on nearby beach so you couldn’t use the beach adjacent to the cottage. Neighborhood was nice and quiet but the park could be upgraded for the kids. I did notice as I took a shower the last day under there was mold under a lip on the inside of the shower which was not great. Otherwise we had a great time. Not sure if I would go back to the same place though.

Everything was in order as advertised, the sand spurs in the yard were an issue as they got stuck everywhere and were painful for us and our dog. The Buxton beach is temporarily closed (just below the unit) which kept the amount of people on the local beach very low, that was a very pleasant surprise. Would return again next year.

We enjoyed a wonderful week in Buxton. The house and location were very nice. Cleanliness and kitchen utensils could be improved, but overall Conch is a very nice vacation property. Weather was beautiful and beach easily accessible until storm closed it down.

This is a basic, nothing fancy, very comfortable cottage. Lots of space to relax, eat and enjoy the views. 30 yards to the beach. It is like beach front one row back.

This was a very nice house enjoyed our stay the walk to the beach was very short good view of ocean from the house.
