WVLW5 House of the Rising Sun

We were pleasantly surprised by this house, it accommodated all our needs. We had 8 adults and 2 dogs. It is a short walk to the beach (you do have to go up a small sand dune) to get there. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. We are definitely booking this property again

We were able to enjoy a fun week of vacation with family. The house location was great- on a quiet side road, close enough to necessities around town. The walk to the beach is manageable even with loads of beach supplies. Halfway through our stay the pool pump stopped working and guest services were contacted. We were told maintenance would be out to fix the issue. Unfortunately, no one showed and we were left with a dirtier than normal pool by the end of the stay. Overall, it was lovely vacation to Waves!

Highly recommend this house for vacation! Very clean and has everything you would need for your stay. One complaint is, I asked for the pool to be heated and it was not. Despite them telling me the heater was on, I know it was not! (I know about pools) Never kicked on once when we were down there. Pool service came out three days later, never addressed the hot tub, level way below jets. Tried to catch the pool service after we got back from the beach, was in and out before I could catch him. No refund for the heat charge, after multiple attempts of getting someone to come to the house to discuss the matter, no one came. Should of been more vocal about my complaint, but I on was on vacation. Just didn't want to deal with it. Recommend getting a new pool service!

We had 9 adults, 1 child and this home was adequate for us. It is tastefully decorated, plenty of seating in living and dining areas. The kitchen area is small but is adequately stocked, refrigerator is large. Although a 2nd full size refrigerator in the pool table room would be very helpful, we had to keep ice in a cooler down there all week to accommodate our needs. The bedrooms are small but provide alot of storage in dressers, hooks and closets. The only down side to us was only 1 bathroom for 3 bedrooms of adults to share especially when getting ready to go out or after a beach trip. We appreciated the outside hooks for towels and wet bathing suits. We spent alot of time hanging out at the pool as the hike over the dunes was a little rough for me being disabled. The pool is in need of an update but we enjoyed our time there. There's ample seating at the pool and on the decks.

The location is within walking distance to the beach.

We loved this house. It was spacious, clean, well stocked, comfortable and tastefully decorated.
