ROSS2 Soundsational

We were a day delayed due to the evacuation in August but we were so happy to finally arrive. Loved the beachy feel of this home and the decks were so amazing for sunsets! We had 4 teenagers with us who absolutely loved the hammock on the second floor and the outside shower. The pill bottle lights out back were kind of eh and we didn't really like those. We spent alot of time in the pool and down in the game room, pac man was broken so that was sad but we had fun playing pool and the other arcade. Crabbing/fishing off the dock and walking around in the sound was also such a good time, very relaxing and quiet. Great location, we did alot of walking around to the places close by and really enjoyed riding the jetski's and playing laser tag at the arcade nearby. Such a beautiful town, we didn't want to leave. Can't wait to come back!!!

This house was in the best location. The view of the sound was amazing. We had to evacuate on day 2 due to hurricane Erin so we only got to enjoy 2 sunsets. The house itself was a bit outdated and smelled very musty. The smell was disturbing to myself as I have allergies to mildew. The deco was very nice, with beachy vibes. Pac Man was broken which was heartbreaking for my 7 year old.

The views of the sound are amazing with beautiful sunsets and do not sleep on the moon over the sound view, that's pretty spectacular. Loved the pool and hot tub and the access to the sound for fishing or wading. The house could use a bunch of updates and a little better cleaning to make it top notch but overall it was a decent place to stay. We had a pretty good time at OBX despite the minor issues with the house. I'd be back but we tend to roam around to different places.

We had a great time and the house was nice but for the price, it could use some updating.

3rd time renting this house, love the location. It was missing some basic items, such as pot holders, a coffee scoop and could use more chairs on decks, but we have really enjoyed staying here, 3 times. We have had issues with Vacasa, and their pricing, so unfortunately we won’t be booking this house again, unless their pricing stops being so erratic (They are increasing the price by $2,000 for 2026… up to $6,667.59, all while the twin homes Nextdoor remain quite reasonable. “Fleur de Sea”, two doors down, next to Reef, has a 6th bedroom and is listed for $2,595 with Surf or Sound. We have rented a different Soundfront home, through Midgett Realty for 2026. Needless to say, due to pricing, and the fact that they forgot to turn the heat on for the pool, that we paid extra for, we will not be renting through Vacasa again. It’s unfortunate because this is a great house!!! This was our 25th year coming down to the OBX, and we can’t wait for next year!!

The pool, hot tub, and refrigerator were clean.
