Great deal for the money! Easy walk to the beach and the pool and outdoor bar area are great!! The canal is right in the backyard and the boys went fishing there! So many bedrooms, plenty of room. The tv room on the 3rd floor and game room downstairs were nice for spreading out. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, cups, glasses, silverware and we used the electric griddle every day for breakfast. No keurig, just a regular coffee pot. There are pots and pans and a big pot for a boil. They provided a few packs of dish soap, dishwashing detergent (2 dishwashers!!) and laundry detergent. Bring dish towels as there was only one. We did have some WiFi issues that were addressed but the fix only lasted a couple days. The ice maker on the fridge leaked and we had to keep a towel on the floor but everything worked and there’s another fridge downstairs in the game room. The elevator was a godsend but the lock on the outer door kept sticking. We found the unlock button but it was too difficult for the kids and older people to use so someone had to accompany them each time. The pool is only accessible from the stairs on the 2nd floor deck or by going all the way down to the ground floor and outside and around the corner of the house. Bring your own pool and beach toys, towels and beach chairs as there are none provided. There are 2 outdoor showers. Short, easy walk to the beach which is right by the pier. Seems like a lot of negatives in this review but was just trying to be thorough lol. There was nothing that was THAT inconvenient that it really negatively affected our stay. Would definitely stay again!
We loved the spaciousness for our family. The walk to the beach/Rodanthe Pier was great. The pool area was nice. It was a great week for our family.
Location was great. Pool and hot tub were nice.
The location and price are hard to beat.
We loved the location, great views, close to beach and coffee shops. Not far from the sound. Lots of bedrooms! Nice layout! Lots of stairs but as long as the elevator is working, it’s good. It wasn’t clean but Vacasa sent a crew and they did a great job. It needs some repairs, refrigerator in kitchen didn’t work, dryer squealed, toilet in one bathroom wasn’t attached to the floor. Most repairs needed a part so hopefully the repairs will be done soon.
Vacasa is not locally owned (they are out of Oregon), and it is unclear who to call for issues. Communication from them about things pertaining to the house are minimal to nonexistent. We enjoyed our stay, the house was comfortable, but updates are needed. There is an elevator, which was extremely helpful for the older folks in our group. The rooms are laid out so that there is privacy for all guests. Perhaps also note that this stretch of beach seems to be having the most erosion issues along the Outer Banks. We were still able to find lovely spots on the beach and loved every minute, but hard to predict how it will be in subsequent years. I love Rodanthe, so that may not scare me away, but it is certainly something to consider when planning your stay.
