WV09 Play Time

We loved our stay at this beach house! It’s beautiful, super clean, and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy, the pool and hot tub were a perfect way to spend time together in the evenings. It’s very close to great restaurants and shops. We will definitely stay at Play Time again very soon!

We absolutely loved this home! From the moment we arrived, everything was flawless. The décor is stunning—beautifully styled both inside and out. I kept catching myself saying, “I love that!” or “Look at this!” around every corner. Every amenity was thoughtfully provided. One of my favorite features was having two outdoor showers—such a luxury after a day at the beach. The pool and hot tub were amazing, and we especially appreciated that the pool was shaded after 4 PM. It made for the perfect, refreshing way to wind down. The outdoor Bluetooth speakers were a great touch, creating the perfect vibe while we relaxed. We also appreciated the abundance of beach chairs, boogie boards, and the beach cart, which made getting everything to the beach effortless. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. It was, without question, the best beach house we’ve ever rented. We’re already dreaming of coming back!

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully designed this beach house is. Every detail was perfect—from the cozy coastal decor to the well-stocked kitchen and all the amenities throughout. Inside, everything felt like home but better. The open layout gave us plenty of space to relax as a group, and we loved the little extras: board games, a Bluetooth speaker, local guidebooks, and even a starter welcome bag. This home is a true gem. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat, a family vacation spot, or a base for coastal adventures, this is the place. We have stayed with three other rental agencies in the outer banks and Vacasa stood high above the others. We’re already planning our return trip!

When reviewing a beach house, my first priority is whether there’s a view of or proximity to the beach—unfortunately, this property offered neither. Additionally, we had to supply basic essentials such as trash bags and paper towels ourselves. The most disappointing aspect of the stay was the checkout process; the cleaning checklist felt excessive, to the point where it seemed like we were responsible for professionally cleaning the house ourselves. That said, we had a great time overall. The house itself was well-equipped with plenty of amenities and activities, which definitely added to the experience.

From the moment we walked in we LOVED it. Very welcoming and beautifully decorated. There were 10 of us and there was plenty of room, each bedroom had an in suite bathroom! A big plus. The beds were comfortable, the mattresses were high quality. The kitchen had everything you could need. The adults enjoyed dining and cocktails on the deck and around the pool area. The kids really enjoyed the game room, bocce ball court, swing set and large yard. Kudos to the owners - you can tell they take great pride in their house. We are already planning our next visit to this lovely home!
