SC726 Sandcastle Sunrise

This home was right on the beach, wonderful decks for viewing the ocean. The house needs updates to cabinets and flooring, but nothing that affected our stay. The location was close to shops in surf city, but far enough away that we had a semi private beach!

Over all a very nice place to stay. Close to everything and the views were great! Would definitely stay here again.

Great home on the beach with a wonderful view and easy access to restaurants and shops. Fits a large group with space to take a break from each other. Would stay there again.

Layout of the house and the views.

We’ve been vacationing in Topsail for over 20 years and this year, we decided to change things up and stay in Surf City. Location was wonderful, so close to everything. And being directly on the ocean front with direct access was wonderful, especially with smaller children. But as far as the property, we will not be returning to this specific house. Upon arrival, we were instantly disappointed in the overall cleanliness of the entire house. There was a terrible odor to which we believe was from the carpet on the steps. We tried to spray Lysol, carpet cleaner, etc. but nothing helped. The kitchen was disgusting, as was the floor. To the point we went and purchased cleaning supplies, a mop, etc. Kitchen dishes were in the cabinets dirty, there looked to be blood dried and on the counter, etc. The vents had mold all over them. We understand housekeeping help is hard to find; however, we paid a lot of money for a house that we expected to be clean, that we ended up having to clean just to feel mildly comfortable for the week we were there. A deep clean is most definitely needed.

Towels, linens and toiletries provided, great location in Surf City, nice home layout, pet friendly, beachfront.
