OAI37 Oak Island Oasis

We got there and had to do cleaning. I feel like on vacation. You shouldn’t have to do any cleaning at all the coffee pot had mold in it. We were big coffee drinkers so this was important. The bathroom mat hasn’t been cleaned underneath it. It had a lot of hair in sand right when we got there. Toothpaste on the mirror I’m not even sure the cleaner showed up before we got there. You go on vacation to relax and we immediately got on our vacation and had to clean. Not to mention the dirty dishes that were put up into the cabinet. We contacted them about it. All they did was come and replace a shower curtain that had been ripped before we got there. We stated these complaints privately and left a note for the cleaner. Just wanna make sure everyone knows what they’re getting into before they stay here with this company.

After our trip to the mountains got cancelled due to Hurricane Helene, we were in need of another location for our weekend getaway. So we traded the mountains for the beach! We had the best time and this was one of the best places we have EVER stayed at. The house was incredibly clean, in a wonderful location, had lots of complimentary items that aren’t usually provided in a house rental, etc. We love the Southport area, so staying here gave us the best of both worlds being close to the beach as well as a 15 minute drive to our favorite little Southport town.

Clean and spacious small apartment near to beach and local amenities. It is totally fine for the rate. Loved to stay here

This residence is simple and offers the necessities for a trip to the beech. Only a short drive to the beach and everything Oak Island has to offer.

The house was beautiful, had everything we needed. Was close to everything we needed, appreciated that we could stick our beach stuff in the garage. Road was quiet to take walks on. The only issue was that when we arrived the fridge was not cool. I'm not sure if it was turned off before we arrived. It was slowly cooling but our food was warm. We contacted vacasa 3 different ways. They told us they would call us back to let us know if a maintenance person could come that night or the next day. No call back. In the middle of the night, the fridge and freezer finally got to temp. Then noticed dishwasher was leaking. Planned to tell vacasa when they called to let us know maintenance was coming. We were at the beach the next morning and received a text from maintenance saying fridge was working. No call from vacasa to make us aware someone was even going to the house.
