We loved spending time on the screened in porch watching the birds and alligators. We were welcomed the first night with a beautiful rainbow and gorgeous sunset. Since this visit was so short we opted not rent bikes. The walk to the beach was short and allowed us still see wildlife on the way. We would stay there again.
So, my wife and I love South Carolina. This is the 1st time we stayed in Kiawah. This island is gorgeous. The condo we stayed at wasnt fantastic. My 1st complaint is that it states very clearly that the beach is a 6 min walk. Which it was, but if you're advertising that you're super close to the beach you would think they'd offer beach towels at a minimum. No beach towels, no beach chairs, no beach toys, or umbrellas. A crappy, moldy cooler was all that was offered. 2nd, let me talk about the roaches. I killed, on average, 4 a day. There was flying ants that got into the condo as well. My biggest complaint were the beds. I don't have a great back, but usually I'm ok when traveling. This time the bed was so uncomfortable that I barely slept the whole time I was there. I loved Kiawah Island and all the time we spent in Charleston but the condo wasnt as nice as we expected.
The perfect fit for 2 adults and three kids. I especially appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked with a variety of pots, pans, colanders, etc.
Location was convenient. Furnishings were nice and Kiawah Island is lovely.
We had a great week in kiawah. Condo was nice and we enjoyed watching the alligators in the pond behind the complex as we ate breakfast.
We only stayed a few short days but would definitely book here again. Directions were easy to print and use the gate pass for the community. Parking was easy and the lot was not full during our stay. The directions for the door code and finding the actual unit door were the only slight glitch. There is a simple electronic keypad -that’s it. You don’t have to worry about the dead bolt etc. just punch in the key and go. Easy. The door is actually up the first set of stairs directly on the left. None of the doors are actually labeled. The unit was nice and cool when we arrived and very clean. The view outside and on the screened porch was so nice! The entire area was very quiet during our stay which was great for brining along our baby. The extra nice amenities we discovered that were not listed : baby pack n play! Crib sheet! Highchair! Spare beach chair on the porch and a cooler (maybe someone else left then?) And hair dryer in the master bath. I looked for all of these things when I booked and we actually even went to go buy a pack n play for the baby because we really thought there wasn’t one at the unit. So we were extremely happy and surprised. The place is well decorated and stocked well in the kitchen. The master bed was very comfortable. We truly had no issues and really enjoyed our stay!
