Nice, spacious place close to the beach. There is mold inside the main door, and the house smells like mold even with the air conditioner and dehumidifier running. The cleaning crew did fine, but they didn’t leave any extra kitchen garbage bags (just 1 for 5 days) or enough hand towels (3 for 7 people) or dish towels (1 total). You might want to bring your own garbage bags unless you like paying $11 for 10 garbage bags at the nearest store. The decor and furniture are nice, but the queen bed on the main floor is incredibly squeaky and loud with every movement. The property badly needs some type of drainage system for the rainwater, and a parking pad and path to the front door would be a huge improvement. There are lots of beach chairs and fun things to take to the beach, which are much appreciated, but definitely not enough towels for both showers and beach usage. The property is nice, and the beach is as close as advertised, but anyone who struggles with mold may have a hard time at this house.
We loved our stay at this Sullivan's Island home! We had three adults, and three kids with everything we needed just steps away from the beach. We miss rocking on the front porch already! Would definitely book again!
We love Sullivan’s Island
Great location
Please take the attached information as constructive the major issues that need to be addressed at 2714 Bayonne Sullivans Island SC The biggest issue was the lack of Wi-Fi for the first few days and then the intermittent Wi-Fi the continually cut off. The TVs both in the living room was shot and the replacement inadequate. The TVs bedrooms need to be activated. There were 6 remote controls.??? None worked..Instructions for operation are needed. Hazards. There is a protruding floor board between the LR and DR that caused a trip and several protruding nails on the front steps that I secured with my hammer. 🔨 The cleaning crew needs to remove lent to avoid dryer fire Kitchen- many many Knives in the kitchen and none of them are really sharp, there is a dish rack, but there is no plastic underneath to let it drain. Refrigerator needs additional shelving.. The sink in the master bath, the handled does not shut off and could lead to excessive water running. Also in the master bedroom, the blind pulls were broken when we got here. I suggest you leave instructions on how to operate the fans. Easy peasey. Upstairs in the third bedroom, the paint is peeling on the dormer which would suggest possibly a leak from the roof I’d also check the table lamps lights because some of them the on off switches have been broken and thus they cannot turn on. I would encourage getting a new code on the entrance lock because coming in the dark and trying to enter 10 digits is extremely frustrating. I find this hard to believe, but this is not really criticism. This is just some points that may help down the road make this some more meaningful experience. We were disappointed in the lack of Wi-Fi as we both trade on line....should I with hold payment until I get my hot spot bills from ATT?
This was the perfect house for us. We had a few extra family members come down, and had four kids in the house. The bunk beds were a big hit. Plenty of towels, linens and washcloths. Lots of room for dining and play. The front yard with the two climable love oaks were great while we were cooking for dinners. All in all, a great place to stay.
