Once we actually got into our rented unit things went well. However, I spent dozens (Yes. Seriously) of hours dealing with Vacasa customer service trying to get resolutions to problems they created.
1. We booked a house that has multiple listings that can be booked individually or as a single big building. We booked the building and for months the individual units were available for booking on the website during the time of our stay. I called multiple times and they fixed it finally after my 3rd time.
2. You cannot speak to anyone local until you arrive. This wouldn't be so bad if they had detailed information about what to expect in the units upon arrival. However, the unit descriptions were quite vague. Luckily for us, the units were pretty well equipped but seems pretty easy to just get a list don't ya think?
3. Check in. This was insane. On check in day we were supposed to be sent an email with door codes. Cool, easy. Except the codes were not in the email. I called in 3 times and each time they assured me that I was wrong. I then started a text based conversation and screen grabbed the email proving there were no codes and then and only then after FOUR interactions and multiple hours of dealing with this while trying to travel to our building did we get bumped up to the next "customer service level" and get the codes. So... Idk what to say about that except that it's absolutely silly to spend multiple hours trying to check in.
Ight so that's it. The place we stayed was good. The LOCAL/BUILDING MANAGER was awesome! But I cannot expressed with enough fury that you should really really really make sure you wanna book through vacasa and not a different service because their customer support is honestly the worst in terms of getting things done. All the reps were nice but it took so many hours to get resolutions.
TL;DR: building good. Vacasa is horrible.
My family really enjoyed our time here. The proximity to the beach is fantastic. The ease of walking to resturants was also a plus.
