Captains Court 1004

I took my sister to the beach after a busy summer for her (daughter's college graduation and another daughter's wedding). The condo was perfect for us and had an extra room in case our parents wanted to visit for a night (they don't live that far away). Of course, there were a lot of stairs but we made it up with all of our junk. We got to enjoy the top deck a couple of nights when the sun was setting and it cooled down just a little (was very hot the week we went). We definitely enjoyed our visit in this condo and will definitely look at staying again for our next sister's trip.

Kitchen very outdated with cabinets and drawers feeling like they’re falling apart. Stove was very old. Rest of home was fine with updates. Condo needs some general updating and new utensils and pots and pans to cook with. Great view of the beach and ocean. Pool was always on the chilly side, but having the shade was nice to lay by the pool. They should heat the pool. Nice and quiet location. Definitely quite a bit of steps, even for someone in shape.

This was the perfect amount of space (6 of us) and could have comfortably accommodated even more. The kitchen was well stocked, even had salt and pepper. There are three small flights of stairs; we knew that ahead of time and were fine with it, just something to be aware of if anyone in your group has mobility issues. Also no elevator. The view is incredible and having two ocean front balconies felt very special. Furniture is nice and the extra chairs for the dining room are appreciated. While the A/C works great through most of the condo, the master bedroom is warmer than any other room. It is on the third floor and has very high ceilings, which are beautiful and allow for great lighting and views; however, that meant that room was significantly warmer than the rest of the condo. I took away 1 star due to that, and because we had an issue with the hallway bathroom light. We reported the issue on Thurs evening and unfortunately, it wasn't resolved before we left on Saturday. Admittedly, it was more than just changing a lightbulb, but still that bathroom was very difficult for our children to use. They used light from their cell phones. All in all, we had a great stay and I would recommend Captains Court 1004 to others looking for a spacious condo with spectacular views!

We had some issues while there. The AC on the 2nd and 3rd level broken down. The staff sent us a technician within an hour, and it worked for a day and then quit again. I never could get hot water our of one of the showers. The maintenance person told us they were aware of the issue, but hadn't fixed it yet. They said they would fix it after we left. Overall, the support staff, check-in, etc., was exceptional. Quick response times, friendly and professional. The condo was ok. It looked like some things (like the furniture) was newer. There was newer flooring in the upstairs. It was very attractively decorated. The view and the patio were wonderful. Other things seemed worn. The kitchen needs a bit of updating. The microwave is hung so high that only tall people can use it. There was visible water damage in the ceiling in the dining room. The pool assigned to the condo was shaded, which isn't bad, but it is caterpillar season and they were all over the pool, the furniture and the pool deck. Not the manager's fault, but no one was using that area at all. But you can't complain about the beach, which was great. We could walk to the Omni and catch their shuttle to various areas of the resort. It was really lovely there. Beautiful landscaping and well kept.

We come back year after year to 1004 Captains Court because it's comfortable, convenient and lovely. We're never disappointed!
