About

Though Thai cuisine is beloved by many, there are not a lot of Thai restaurants in the Redwood Coast area. Siam Orchid is one of the only options close-by and they are simply the best! Their food is tasty, portions are generous, and service is everything you could ask for.

From the outside, this restaurant is unassuming. There is a Siam Orchid Thai Restaurant sign on the roof panels, but it can be difficult to read from afar. It is situated on the corner of V Street and the 101 Highway, so it's in a great spot for a quick road trip stop. On the inside, there are plenty of Thai decorations, wall art, and tables. You'll be quickly greeted by one of their friendly employees and prompted to take whatever seat you'd like.

What's good at Siam Orchid Thai Cuisine:

Padd Thai (Chicken, Tofu, Pork, Beef, or Shrimp)

Pad thai is a classic Thai dish and arguably the most popular one as well. Using rice noodles, they combine it with a wonderfully tangy sauce combination. The sauce is a mixture that varies restaurant by restaurant, but has the same general ingredients. This includes soy sauce, brown sugar, tamarind, chili sauce, and fish sauce. Then, the noodles are mixed with egg, bean sprouts, green onion, and crushed peanut. Add your choice of protein for the perfect lunch or dinner! The most popular protein in this is chicken.

Fresh Spring Rolls

Delicious and refreshing, these healthy roll-ups are a fan favorite. Spring rolls consist of lettuce, carrot, mint, cilantro, and noodles. It comes wrapped in a rice paper and served with peanut sauce. You can also add a protein of your choice in these.

Orchid Curries

You can't go wrong with a creamy, warm curry. This is the epitome of food for the soul. There are five different types of curry to choose from: Green, Red, Yellow, Paneang, and Pineapple. All five choices have coconut milk and veggies, but other than that they slightly vary. Also, they are all spicy. We recommend going with the red or yellow curry, but you can't go wrong with any.

Tom Kha Gai (Chicken)

If you've never tried Thai food, then you've never had a soup quite like this one before. It's creamy and spicy with veggies! Ingredients include coconut milk, mushroom, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaf, galangal root, and cilantro. The soup itself is just Tom Kha. Gai means chicken, Goong means shrimp, and Ta-Lay is a seafood mix.

Local Tips

  • Offers Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten-free Options
  • Offer online ordering & delivery.
  • If you're not a big fan of spicy food, choose the lightest level of spice or no spice. The Thai level of spice is likely more spicy than you may be used to.
