Banczak, a seasoned professional in online travel and technology, brings an accomplished record of leadership and innovation to the Casago team.
Banczak’s career spans a series of pivotal roles across the travel and vacation rental industries, including notable positions at Expedia, KLM/Northwest Airlines, BedandBreakfast.com, Accenture, and HomeAway. Most recently, Banczak served as COO at Vacasa.
Notably, Banczak pioneered the tech-enabled vacation rental space as the Founder and CEO of TurnKey Vacation Rentals, where he secured over $120 million in funding. Turnkey was acquired by Vacasa in 2021.
Beyond operational leadership, Banczak has made significant strides as an entrepreneur and investor. He co-founded The Rockcliff Group in Austin, Texas, where he has spearheaded investment and consulting efforts for a diverse array of traditional and web-based travel and technology companies.
John Banczak’s vision and insight also extend to the community through his involvement in ventures such as Sage Hill Inn & Spa in Texas Hill Country. He is also currently a board member at PassPass, empowering local businesses to positively impact their communities. He has served on the board of Andrew Harper Travel, was an adviser to Aceable, and is an angel investor in a wide range of Austin-based startups.
As Casago continues to expand its unique franchise-based property management model, Banczak’s expertise will play a critical role in driving the company’s growth and innovation.
