Kristian Denis started this exceptional restaurant in 2015 as a tiny wine shop with home goods and artisan crafts. After a few relocations and expansions, Domaine gained a loyal following and settled at Westside Square overlooking Big Spring International Park.

Kristian drew upon her European upbringing inspired by sidewalk cafes and vibrant culinary culture. This vision comes to life in a menu highlighting local farmers and seasonal ingredients. Adding to its prestige, the restaurant's wine program garnered the "Best of Award of Excellence" from Wine Spectator in 2021, a testament to the expertise of its Wine Director, Hazel Sikorski.

Collaborating with Kristian is Executive Chef Corey Grothe, who has roots in New Orleans and France. His farm-to-table philosophy and passion for European-inspired cuisine shape the constantly evolving menu. 

Along with wine tasting, stellar food, and a Euro-like vibe, Domaine South is close to Rocket City landmarks. Within walking distance are the Huntsville Museum of Art, the Weeden House Museum & Gardens, and the Von Braun Center, to name a few. While its corner location in a tall downtown building doesn't exude something from Paris, rest assured the interior will. You'll discover Bohemian style with soft, earthy tones and rich textures, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The charcuterie boards are standouts and offer Old World delicacies. Be prepared to be amazed at choices like smoked duck breast, Armenian-style lamb, and smoked salami. Add the artisanal cheeses, fresh fruit, and house-made crostini, and you can understand why many guests order several and combine them into a shareable meal.

Chef Grothe flexes his New Orleans influence with the Gulf Shrimp and Grits. This Southern staple features seared Royal Red shrimp with creamy Bucksnort Miller stone ground grits and Louisiana Andouille. The savory crawfish gravy unites the textures and flavors for a mind-blowing experience. 

The menu is jam-packed with delicious options, ensuring something for the pickiest diner and those with dietary concerns. Salads are abundant, as are sandwiches like a Reuben, tuna melt, BLT, and even a cheeseburger.
