River Walk Cafe

Serving renowned bagel sandwiches, paninis, burritos, and organic coffee, River Walk Cafe will satisfy your breakfast and lunch cravings. 

This seasonal hotspot is open Thursday through Monday and is next to the Historic Park Theatre. It's also a short stroll from the River Walk Park, making it an ideal starting or ending point for a hike. 

Speaking of convenience, its central location makes it easy to grab a bagel breakfast sandwich on your way to the Estes Park 18-hole Golf Course or Mustang Mountain Coaster.

The menu is packed with delicious options, from Boar's Head sandwiches to the grilled Skypond Panini and healthy salads. They also serve French bakery treats, like the irresistible Strawberry Croissant, and refreshing drinks, including Boba tea. But we're getting ahead of ourselves! Finding the cafe is easy: look for the towering Historic Park Theatre building. You'll discover the cafe to the left of the building's entrance as part of the Park Theatre Hall. The structure's natural wood facade blends with Estes Park's rustic vibe, while Fall River out front adds to this outdoorsy vibe.

Step inside, and you'll discover artistic touches that make this eatery special. Walls display local artwork, and the tables and chairs are a mish-mash of vintage and modern. The space is vibrant and homey, making it a room where you'll want to linger.

While the main dining area is quaint, most diners opt for outside dining. Here, umbrella-covered tables line the front, offering breathtaking views of the city, mountains, and flowing river. 

These elements combine to make River Walk Cafe idyllic for a lingering meal, coffee with friends, or a spot to relax.

While every menu item is delicious, the Skypond's Adventure Panini is considered its "greatest hit." This hearty handheld features char-grilled chicken, cheddar cheese, roasted red peppers, caramelized onions, and chipotle mayo on hand-stretched panini bread. It comes with chips, but you may substitute with a small quinoa salad for an additional cost. 

One of the most popular items for breakfast and lunch is Big Foot's Bacon with Eggs. Served on a bagel or croissant, it features crispy bacon, eggs, arugula, tomato, caramelized onions, avocado, and spicy mayo. 

The Summer Quinoa Salad is not only healthy but also replenishes calories burned hiking to the summit of the Estes Park Aerial Tramway. This dish features quinoa, chickpeas, onion, cucumbers, tomatoes, parsley, olives, balsamic vinaigrette, and comes with pita bread. 

If you're in the mood for something lighter, try the Caprese Amor Salad. This entrée showcases fresh mozzarella, grilled chicken, spinach, tomato, basil leaves, pine-nut Parmesan pesto, and balsamic glaze, making it a must-try.

The Brunch Box options combine some of the cafe's most popular picks with a side salad and drink. Whether you enjoy on-site or order for a picnic, it will check all the boxes for a meal!
